My own TV Show?

It is surreal. Last year I have been back and forward from JB, KL, JB, KL to finish up this project. I was selected to be a host for a new show at TV9. It is called #sendiribikin. Basically a show about crafty stuff and DIY. Pretty sum up what I love! A total 13 episode have been successfully shoot and now it is live. Every Friday, at 6.30pm me and the beautiful Ameera Zaini (Saffiya Host) will be hosting the show. Nothing formal, a casual chit chat DIY show that I hope everyone going to love! From fashion items, food, decor and even baby & pet accessories! If you are not available to watch the show you can always go to Tonton to watch it back hehe. It started yesterday, and this is the first episode if you missed it! - #sendiribikin Episode 1

It is my first time hosting and I hope you will understand the awkwardness face I may have show in each show haha. Also that serious face while doing the DIY. I laugh at myself! It has been one of the best experience in my life ever. I could say, it was not easy but truly a great experience and fun journey. So what's next? I don;t know. All I want to know is when will my baby give me a signal that he is going to see the world! hahahahaha! *nervous*

Have your own US address with MyUs | How To & My Review

Hi guys! I have been delaying this post for a while. I did not manage to sit down and blog about this. My back pain is getting worse. My pregnancy due is just around the corner. Phew. Ok back to the topic. As you know I am an avid online shopper and always want something online. But when browsing, not all webstore offers delivery to Malaysia right. So there is this mail forwarding service called MyUs. I knew this when Michelle Phan highlight about it regarding on how to purchase her em cosmetics online and ship anywhere where you live. So basically what mail forwarding is, is that it is a service where you get your own US address. It's like have your own "place" in the United States. So you can purchase anything from the US webstore and ship to the address that you get from this service. Your package will arrive at their warehouse and then you pay for the shipping. Then this mail forwarding company will ship to you using shipping company that you choose, as that is what they do. So I am going to show you on how you can have your own US address with MyUS and my thoughts on it at the end of this post.

So of course, first of all you have to go to MyUs page and Sign Up. I register for BASIC account. which is 10usd per year. You can go for the other package if you want. I just go for the basic for now on. 

After register you will receive and email. They actually need to review your application in 24 hours but mine was a bit delayed for 48 hiurs so I actually email their customer service regarding my application status and then my application was approved. When it is approve, my debit card was charge with the 10USD fees. 

When my application is successfully accepted, I receive my US address! Weee! So this is the address you key in during check out. Most webstore offers free shipping at certain purchase around US right, so that is kinda great!

So then I did a little shopping at drugstore.com . I purchase above 40usd and i got the free shipping. After 2 days, i receive an email from MyUs stating that my parcel has arrive. 

In my MyUs dashboard I can view my package detail. There is a setting page where you can customize on what you want. In my setting, I tick on the "original package" so they will send what they receive from the store I bought the stuff from on its original box and such. I don;t want them to mess with my box, so I opt for the original package part. This may be a bit problem if you order from several stores as they would need to compile each different boxes to you. The shipping may cost higher I think. After I have go through the detail I click "CREATE SHIP REQUEST" as a instruction to them that I want my parcel to be deliver to my Malaysia address.

Then you will view this below page where you can choose which shipping service you want. The faster it will get to you the higher the rates. Of course I have to go for the lowest rate. I don't mind waiting. I was hoping that they have a better shipping rates, I don;t mind wait for 3-4 weeks as long as I pay less. But they don;t have it, the slowest was 4-5days if I am not mistaken and it cost me 37.76 dollars. It was like my whole drugstore purchase! Pretty expensive to my opinion. Was not expecting this but oh well.

Check all the details and confirm! My package arrive as promise. 4 days. They came in the original box and below is my purchase! Still confuse? Here is a short recap on what I bebel up here.

1st - Register MyUs account

2nd - Get approved and receive your US address

3rd - Start shopping and during check out add the US address in the shipping information form. You can shop at more than 1 store, they will send to the address you have filled in.

4th - Wait for MyUs to notify you that your package has arrive at their warehouse

5th - Check your MyUs Account, view the details of your package on the dashboard

6th - Send instruction by clicking "CREATE SHIP REQUEST" on parcel you want them to send to you.

7th - Choose your shipping option and prefered rates. Don;t forget to check on the other details such as insurance or what so ever stuff on the right side bar.

8th - Pay your shipping fee, using PayPal.

9th -Wait for your package to arrive at your home!

10th - Take an snap chat or insta pic and hashtag #iambroke. lol. this step is optional. haha!

I got all the stuff that I have been wanting to try for the longest time!

My final conclusion is that overall it is a great experience. My package arrive safely, as promise and the transaction was super easy. Only that I really hope they have a cheaper shipping rates and I know it will take longer time but I don;t mind. I'm used to that as I always shop at eBay that usually offers free shipping or cheap shipping with longer days to arrive. So far I had no problem with that.

So far as I convert the price I pay (product + shipping) they are still reasonable and pretty much the same price you can get from sellers here in Malaysia. Maybe cheaper if you buy more and save on the shipping.

I am happy that I have an MyUs account now, so I can get stuff that is hard to find here in Malaysia. Maybe I can shop for things that I really want or big sales that they always have. For example have you hear that MAC Cosmetics eyeshadow refill pan is now 6USD? The original price is 10USD. The price is the same as MUG eyeshadow! or maybe I can get the bag I have been wanting for so long which is the Kate Spade bag. Kate Spade always have amazing sale and that would be a good deal for me. If you have any questions, do leave a comment down below and I will get back to you as soon as possible! Canmake Tokyo is now in Guardian Malaysia! | My Haul + Look

I know you guys love shopping and haul is fun right! Did you know that Canmake Tokyo is now available in Guardian? Hooraaay! Canmake Tokyo is one of a famous makeup brand in Japan. They have wide varieties of makeup products that have been love for years. Now you can get them at all participating Guardian stores near you. Glad it is also available here in Johor where I stay. The above picture is at Guardian Plentong JB. I believe they are also available widely there in KL and in other states nationwide. So I'm also so happy that I get the chance to try some of their products. Despite how cute they look, I play around with the swatches, they have good color payoff and quality. So let see what I got!

 MY HAUL

So here are some of the products I choose to try. First of all I choose the Canmake Be My Baby BB Cream (RM63.50). i heard a few Japanese lover youtuber raves about their BB Cream. So I wanna give it a try. Then I got the Canmake Transparent Finish Powder (RM63.90). Pretty much the packaging also influences me to give this a try (haha) and also I am into this transparent powder thingy trend that is going on right now. The packaging is super cute, super girly and princess-sy. Just have to get it! Then I got the Canmake Nose Shading Powder in the color Natural (RM56.05). I thought this would be a handy compact powder to use it to contour my nose. Not born with a small nose, so ya. You know how we roll with the power of makeup. Then I also got some eye makeup, the Canmake Powdery Brow Pencil (RM35.95) and the Canmake Quick Easy Eyeliner (RM38.05). Never get enough of trying out marker type eyeliner; you know it is my thing! Lastly I also got myself the Canmake Gokubuto Mascara. A pretty interesting mascara name and well I just need to see what it is really like! Now I am going to show you a little demo and try out on each of these products for my full makeup look.

I apply my favorite moisturizer first. Then I apply the Canmake Be My Baby BB Cream all over my face. It does a bit if color correcting and it finish of matte. I use a bit of concealer to cover up any leftover redness and also under my eye. Then I set it with the Canmake Transparent Powder using the puff it came with. The Transparent Powder has a bit of a skin color to it and it gives me a bit more coverage. It looks natural and easy to blend it. Does not gives me any white cast effect.

Next, I use the Canmake Shading Powder to define my nose. I use my own brush for this. The brush it came with was a bit too flimsy. It could be a great brush for touch up when you are out. The darker shade is matte and it is a perfect shade for my skin. The lighter shade has a bit of a shimmer in it, but not too obvious. Just nice. I love this powder! It is not too pigmented where controlling during shading is easy.  I apply the darker shade between my nose and the lighter one on the middle part of my nose. I also use the highlighter shade for my inner corner of my eye.

After applying some simple eyeshadow on my eyelid. I apply the Canmake Quick Easy Eyeliner. Love the felt tip, super precise and is is super pigmented. Then I frame my brows with the Canmake Powdery Brow Pencil in the shade 01. I think I am in love with the brow pencil too, it is easy to apply and blend. Not too creamy in a way that I would overly filled my brows. It also comes with a brush at the other end. The color also matches my skin. I can’t use black brow pencil even though my hair is black. I don't know why. Maybe because I have olive skin tone.

After curling my lashes, I apply the Canmake Gokubuto Mascara. This mascara helps to volumize my lashes. Also I find it is great to be use for under my lashes. I finish off my look with a lip balm and my favorite lipstick & natural blush. Pretty much done!

March 2016 Favorites

Bye2 March and hello to April. Everything seems fast didn't it? So as usual, I will be featuring some of my most reach, love product for the past month. Maybe you can discover some new products to try on and what I think works great and stuff that worth trying! In no particular order, here are some of the beauty products I have been loving for the past month. Share yours in the comment below! I would love to know!

1. Cathy Doll Pom Pom Girl Armpit & Bikini Line Whitening Scrub

Best discovery ever! I saw this at Guardian, attracted by its cute packaging and the price. So I give it a try. I have been using this everyday since I got it. At last I found a staple product for my underarms. As what I find that deodorant clog my underarm pores and washing it by hand alone are not enough. This scrub has help a lot. I felt that It deeply cleanse my underarms and reduce pores under my arms. And i find that I am more comfortable with my body. When I sweat, I felt that  my BO is reduced. With such a great price, this is such a holy grail product for me. The scrub are also so fine and nice when I massage it in. Love this! This retails for RM13.90. You can buy it at Guardian.

2. Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

Another tak regret lagsung purchase of mine. Currently my favorite everyday foundation. It has natural coverage, but still concealer my redness, does not oxidize and the color is true to my skin. My shade is n Vanilla. It has a satin finish and it blends so nicely on my skin. Love this! I bought this from Sephora Johor for RM138.00.

3. The Body Shop British Rose Exfoliating Gel Body Scrub

Another scrubby-scrubby product that I have been loving. It is from The Body Shop. I use this to exfoliate my legs and hand. I use this after shaving and it gently removes dirt at the same time does not dry out my skin. This retails for RM105.00. I also have a full review post here.

4. MAC Lipstick in Kinda Sexy
All I can say it I love the shade! Not too natural not too bold. Perfect for my everyday look. It has a matte finish, looks so nice over a lip balm. Each MAC lipstick retails for RM74.00.

5. MAC Blusher in Harmony
Another MAC love over here. I have been into natural and no makeup look mood during my pregnancy. This is by far my most natural matte blush sahde. Super blendable and natural. Might dive in into more MAC blushers after this! Each MAC Blush retails for RM84.00.

A visit to Guardian | Confident Creation

As a woman we need to be confident, and beauty products help me in that. By keeping myself neat, clean and well groomed, it helps me face my day glowing in confidence. Yes, us girls or even men need to care for ourselves and this includes our face, skin, body; and each part of our body has its own care and needs which we have to cater for. That is what they say, there is no such thing as an ugly woman, just lazy ones! By having the right makeup and beauty products to help you is also an essential. So where do we go to get our essentials? To a place where I call, beauty heaven! Guardian!

There is nothing like a great therapy for me to pay Guardian a visit. Like seriously, I am not even joking. Just walking pass the store, checking out new stuff and playing with some makeup are my kind of joy. Whenever I need to wait for someone in the mall, I will choose to go to Guardian and take a stroll and maybe (hehe) walk out with some stuff. That is just me. *guilty pleasure*. Guardian has a wide selection of beauty products and brands. From makeup to skincare, body care and even health care.

My favorite section? You guessed it! The makeup aisle! This is what I call therapy. I will walk around the makeup section, checking out new products, deals and play with some makeup. Having my hand full of lipstick swatches on the back of my hand is normal to me. I know you guys can relate. This is where I get inspired to try new makeup looks which bring out a different persona, depending on my mood. Sometimes I feel extra feminine, sometimes I feel sassy and edgy; all with the help of makeup!

I will pay Guardian a visit at least 2 times a month to stock up my cleaning essentials such as wipes and makeup remover, because keeping your skin clean is important to feeling beautiful too! It is easy when everything is in one place and there are always new products in for me to try out. Of course along with that there will be also "unplanned" purchases such as things that makes me squeals. haha! Look at the hello kitty plasters. I NEED that! Guardian always have cool edition of beauty products and I have seen a lot of Hello Kitty products from there. I also bought some wipes with Hello Kitty on it. Hello Kitty wipes? Hey! I need that! Having cute things that makes me happy helps me feel good to ok! I’m sure you know what I mean. Hehe.

I am always on the hunt to find new skincare that my skin would love because choosing the right skincare for your skin is important to help us feel beautiful from within. So I make sure to spend time walking around the skincare section and learning about each product, reading about the ingredients and what skincare each brand is offering. At Guardian, there are tons of skincare brand and types I can choose from. As we grow older, did you know we need to change our skincare based on what our skin’s need? Guardian provides all types of skincare for all ages and skin types. Just take your time and learn more about them!
