Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont’Kiara Staycation Review

Last weekend we decided to have another quick getaway around town. Recently the new Hyatt House was launched! I was very excited to see what are they offering as you know Hyatt has the best service when it comes to hospitality! As we arrived, I was very surprise by how beautiful the lobby is. Because, what I have in mind from previous experience with this "home" typed hotels, they are just oridinary. But not this one, the lobby and their staff were very neat and professionals.
The waiting area are located near to their bar and mini market which allows you to sit back and relax while waiting for your partner/person to check in.
After we got our keys, we directly went to our floor. Aah! The room greeted us with such welcoming feels! The room type that we got is the Suite that includes Breakfast, King Bed, WiFi, Daily Housekeeping, Full Kitchen facilities & Washing Machine.
I am very impressed with the kitchen facilities that they provided. Equipped with dining utensils, microwave, kitchen towel & more.

I also appreciate the thoughtfulness of them providing this list where you can borrow some essentials and religious books for your own use anytime.
The room is equipped with 2 tv, one is in the living room & another is in the bedroom.
The bathroom comes with a heater shower and top notch toiletries.
They also provide personal ironing items for convenient uses.
They are also games room at the activities level same as the swimming pool area. The game room area also equipped with PlayStation!
I love the location of the Hyatt House. It is located right in the middle city of Mont Kiara where surrounded by near by restaurant & cafes. The night view! We were lucky enough to get to see that!
The breakfast buffet are held in their restaurant. The seating is very comfortable and spacious.
All cold drinks are stored in the fridge, one of a kind!
My little Aryan enjoying his breakfast! After we had our breakfast we went home. Overall it is a recommended place for your stay in KL. The service and staff are very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed staying here!

Last weekend I decided to relax and have a stay in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. You know, just chilling around and of course, make my son happy! He loves swimming! It was pretty last minute so I download this app called OYO. OYO is an app where help you to find affordable stays easily and hassle-free. OYO also guarantees every accommodation has air conditioning, a clean bathroom, free wifi, a television. .I live in Selangor and wanted to have a stay in the middle of Kuala Lumpur, so I went into the app and search out for it. I found this place called Expressionz Professional Suite located in Jalan Tun Razak. Watch my video on how I made the booking and tour around the Expressionz Suite!

So let's have a mini tour on the room! The room that I got is the Suite. About 300sqft in size that includes Kitchen, bathroom, living room & bedroom. I love the bedroom! It has nice large windows and a cabinet to store my clothes without a mess feeling.
Clear window wardrobe for the luxury feels to it. I wish I have this back home, looks like a great handbag organizer shelves there haha.
My son's favourite. The bathroom. It does not have a bathtub but it has this kinda like a "mini-pool". My son has not been procrastinating about bath time throughout the weekend! Haha! The bathroom is very simple and practical. i really love it.
There is also a built-in ironing board but iron is not provided by the apartment yet. So you might need to bring your own iron on the trip.
This is the sky lounge located on floor 41. The best chill area I have been. So peaceful & quite with a view of KLCC & KL Tower.
The sky lounge view during the night.
There is also a playground located near the swimming pool. But advise being only used by kids aged 5 and above. The slides are pretty high for my 2-year-old son.
But not to worry, there is a safe playroom for toddlers too that can be used from 7am to 10pm for all residence with the acess card.
Water is not provided by the apartment but you may buy yourself some snacks at the lobby via a vending machine.

How to Navigate Kuala Lumpur and Not Look Like a Tourist

When you visit another country, one of the first things that many people want to do is avoid looking like a tourist. While admitting you’re not a local is fine, it’s more the tourist stereotype of being clueless and lost that is to be avoided. Not only does this open you up to potential theft, but it will also prevent you from seeing some of the more interesting parts of your destination city. Locals don’t appreciate a visitor who doesn’t take notice of them, so one of the best things you can do is to observe, rather than comment, at least in the first few days of your trip. On top of this approach, you can also take other measures to ensure that your travel to Malaysia is an enriching, one of a kind experience. Here are a few ways to make your way through Kuala Lumpur like a local.

  1. Figure Out What You Want to See in Advance
There is an endless assortment of activities to do and sites to see for visitors to Kuala Lumpur. Time Out highlights 101 things to do in KL when you’re visiting, ranging from traditional drink and dessert bars to the vivid mix of culture and entertainment available at destinations such as the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia. Therefore, one of the best things you can do in advance of a trip is to look online and see what interests you. Using time wisely while travelling, regardless of the duration of your visit, is what sets apart casual vacationers and true world jet-setters. Research online and see which parts of KL interest you. Look up current events that will be happening during your trip. This is the type of proactive approach that will make your experience all the more memorable, as opposed to simply stepping off a plane or train and expecting the fun to appear.

  1. Rent a Full Home Instead of a Hotel
The beauty of the 21st century is that you no longer have to settle for whatever expensive hotel your travel guide tells you to book. In this day and age, most travellers plan for the long haul, visiting a new place for as long as a few months in order to explore. Regardless of your planned trip time, though, searching for PropertyGuru Malaysia for a house for rent in puchong is a great way to bypass the hotel mentality and move straight to the immersive approach. Many properties in Malaysia, including KL and other locales, can be rented for a short time. The country welcomes visitors and foreigners looking to explore and invest. Therefore, you’re sure to find plenty of listings that will suit your needs at a reasonable price. Not only that but if you reserve an apartment for your trip, rather than a small hotel room, you’ll also have access to other amenities, such as a full kitchen and laundry services. In the long run, this can actually save you a bit of money.

  1. What to Expect Once You’re There
Rough Guides characterizes KL as a mish-mash of architectural styles and neighbourhoods, with a wide array of different enclaves and sites found within each one. Generally speaking, it’s a very safe city, popular amongst tourists, and host to a bastion of shopping, entertainment, and dining options. Therefore, don’t be afraid to explore and go off the beaten track. One of the most obvious indicators that you’re a tourist who doesn’t know what they’re doing is when you stick solely to the popular landmarks and attractions. If you want to experience the full breadth of what KL has to offer, then you should definitely choose a few different neighbourhoods, or even get recommendations from your temporary neighbours if you’re renting an apartment. If you want to behave like a local, then the best way to proceed is to ask the actual locals where to go and what to see.

  1. Know How to Get from Here to There
One of the biggest giveaways that you’re a tourist, as well as a frustrating detail, is how to get from one place to another. Luckily for foreigners, there are many different modes of transportation in KL. Being such a large city as well as the capital of the country, there are many ways to travel around it, including taxies, mass transit, and private car. There are two airports that are also connected to the city, so flying in or out is simple. Plotting out your route ahead of time is advisable.

Kuala Lumpur is one of the most populous and cosmopolitan cities in Asia, serving as the capital of Malaysia and a hub for commerce and leisure. Whether you plan on visiting for a month or a weekend and depending on where you’re coming from, there’s something in this city for everyone. You’ll do well to avoid overpriced hotels, and stick with local accommodations as well as advice from the locals about where to go.

Love is in the Air! Top Romantic Getaway in Southeast Asia

Ah, love. It is such a beautiful thing. It’s so powerful that it can change your whole world. It can heal a heart and it can break it. All by the power of love. Why I’m being very Shakespeare on love today? Because today’s entry will be all about keeping the romance alive. Today, we’re going to look at the top romantic getaway in Southeast Asia. For those who are planning to have a romantic honeymoon/anniversary trip, maybe you’ll want to consider these places. I’m narrowing down four of the best. I’d love to include more but for the time being, I can only provide four. Maybe I’ll add more in another entry.

Segue alert! If you’re already planning to hop on a plane, you might wanna have a peek at Traveloka. I heard they’re having new deals at the moment and I think there are multiple airlines too! Let’s say you’re planning on booking AirAsia or other airlines, I think they have cool promotions running. So, remember to book AirAsia or other airlines to get you and your loved ones to the places we’re about to fly to~

El Nido, Philippines
Relive your very own Blue Lagoon here in El Nido. This crystal clear and white-sand beach is everything but dull. This island is one of the beautiful islands in the Philippines and a perfect romantic getaway for those seeking it. This once weathered limestone provide more than just a pretty view, you can also find some of the wonderful diving spots, hiking through one of the best trails through the mangrove forest and explore the unique caves out here. Oh, and don’t forget kayaking, duh! You can go all Mamma Mia! with a boat for two while enjoying the beautiful sunset scenery when you’re ending your day.

Tanah Lot Bali, Indonesia
There is without a doubt that Indonesia has some of the beautiful places to visit on any type of occasion. A romantic getaway is not excluded, of course. Welcome to Tanah Lot Bali, the most beautiful scenic sea temple there is. I realize I use “beautiful” a lot in this entry, but you can’t help it though, the places I included in today’s entry is what it is - beautiful. Let’s dive into a little bit of history lesson to really enjoy the place. The rock where the temple resides was originally called Tengah Lod that means “in the sea”. This was originated by the tale of a high priest from Majapahit named Dang Hyang Nirartha, who came to Bali back in 1489 to spread Hinduism and soon find this site that remains memorable up till today. The view really brings the romanticism to life and given the history surrounding this place, I think it just made the place much more meaningful to visit.

Siem Reap, Cambodia
Behold the gateway to the temples of Angkor, one of the unique historical ruins in the world. For a pair of lovebirds that enjoy sightseeing historical ruins, this site is a must-visit agenda you should opt for. In hindsight, you might seem that the only thing you can do here is literally walking through the temples and only that, but this is where you are mistaken. There are a bunch of other things you can do and it is equally romantic as walking by the beach. Here, you should never skip the opportunity to ride the hot air balloon over the Angkor ruins and watch the sunrise, which happens to be the highlight of the trip. Sun makes everything extra romantic. What better love story to tell the ancient ruins than your own?

Singapore Flyer, Singapore
Calling all thrill-seekers-couples! You might find this next destination both romantic and thrilling at the same time. We are flying to the land of the Merlion to touch the sky in a 165 meters high observation wheel. The Singapore Flyer was deemed Asia’s Largest Giant Observation Wheel for all the right reasons. It is definitely an intimate place worth visit to enjoy the city views at night. The panoramic views of the Marina Bay certainly give you that romanticism edge to it, don’t you think? Or maybe if you have found the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, who knows, this might be the best place to pop the question! Singapore Flyer is not a stranger to people proposing on its site before, why not be the next one in line?

And there you have it, some of the romantic getaway you can hop on a ride with your significant other. Of course, the list does not end there, there are also other places I did not cover in this entry. Do you have your chosen romantic getaway you love to escape to with your loved ones? Let me know all about it! Share your stories with me and let’s spread the love because clearly, the world needs a bit of that nowadays.

Until next time, see ya!
