Visiting Paul Penders Lab in Ocean Residence Langkawi

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. Now this post is going to be packed with lots of pictures! There too much to show here. hehe. So Thank you Tammy for inviting me to this awesome experience. Me and the other butterfly get to say 2 days and 1 night there in Langkawi to witness ourselves how Paul Penders product are made. Di you know all of their extract are made by them! The research, the discovery. It is truly an authentic touch to their products. Lets read!

We went there by plane, this is where the time the news about the MH370 were on news. My mom were so freaked out and I receive a tons of miss call from my mom as soon as I arrive to the airport. She said she was worried about me. Aw, I know you love me mom, but I am going to Langkawi, not Beijing. I was so happy and a lil bit jakun because the plane that we were in has a tv and contains shows like Glee and How I meet your mother. haha! Awesome! As we arrive, we were welcomed by Bas, Bas Pender the son of Paul, Paul Penders. He is a really cool and funny guy and he knows Langkawi well than us! Haha. As soon we arrive, we were all excited. The place that we got to stay is beautiful. We went to the lobby and get out keys. Each of us get to stay in one room of our own. A room that I might call a small house. Its super spacious and ending up me and Nanie stayed in one room sharing beds becausee... er? Afraid of the dark! Pfffttt! =P

After we have placed our bags in our room, we went right away for the lab tour. The lab is located just right next to the lobby. As we entered, we can really smell the herbs and ya know extract stuff in there. It reminds me of a spa. As you can see below, this is where all Paul Penders ingredients are made. All of them are naturally exacted by that man in the blue shirt. He has been working with Paul Penders for 7 years! There were a lot of essential oils, extracts and other ingredients in that lab. It is proven that Paul Penders products are 100% natural and free from animal derivatives and chemical! We had a quick chat and tour inside. It reminds me of my school lab! Then we get to do a little activity of trying out the Paul Penders skincare product which I have blogged about here (CLICK ME).

Right beside the reception desk at the lobby we get to see all of the products that Paul Penders offers. They also offers makeup stuff, skincare and hair body care! I have tried the lipstick that I got from my February MIVVA box. I got to say that the lipstick is pretty awesome! Look at the mineral eyeshadow, so pretty!

They also have Baby Body Lotion, Skincare Range for all skin types, and much much more!

Now, the best part. Tour around the Ocean Residence! Paul Penders office and lab located here, along side that Paul runs this awesome resort that you must visit if you are going to Langkawi! It is still new and some of it are still under renovation. Now let's stroll around!

The infinity pool that looks reminds me of Greece Santorini! We had so much fun during the night here! Wink wink! Below are a picture of one of the room that I mention. Room? YEAP! More like a small house to me! Super Spaciaous!

Below pictures shows one of the rooms that is actually comes with a sharing pludge pool. This is still under renovation. Super cool right!

Now we are just chilling out at Tammys balcony!

The next day, after we had our hearty breakfast, we went for chocolate shopping. I don't bother to take picture because my chocolate shopping need a total focus and concentration. Haha, then we back to the Ocean Residence and pack our bags. Its time to go home. We had lots of fun and thank you Paul Penders, Bastiaan Penders, Anne and Celine. Paul Penders Skincare Range

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. If you have been following me in my Instagram you may have know that recently me and my Butterfly friends went to Langkawi for some awesome mission! I will blog about it later tomorrow about that trip introduction of Paul Penders and first of all I want to give an insight of the Paul Penders Skincare that we get to try hand in hand in front of the founder it self!

This is Paul, the Founder of Paul Penders who have live in Malaysia for over 10 years. He is also a Muslim. He decided to stay in Langkawi because he has found that our country are beautiful and have lots of good ingredients he can do a research for his skincare and makeup items. Paul is an active environmentalist and avid animal rights activist to his beliefs into his skincare and cosmetics. All of Paul Penders product are strictly contains "no chemicals" and "no animal testing" that were started with shampoos and later with more products such as skincare. He is indeed an animal lover! We sat inside his awesome office with an ocean view. We sat in circle and Paul began to give a little introduction on his products. How lucky we are to get a face to face interview with the founder!

We started out the session with the skincare introduction. First we were given this "skin profile" checklist. Also we were given a set of skincare products that suits our skin. Later we get to test out each of the skincare product on the back of our hand. Before the skincare routine start, we jot down our current moisture level. I will be showing the before and after in below demonstration. 

After testing out the skincare range, we get to try this best seller product from Paul Penders! It is the Intensive Clarifying Therapy (ICT). This mask is unique because you get to use it after you mix both product together before you apply it. Let me give you a little brief about this mask. It claims to clarifies your skin and helps prevent fine lines and wrinkles and also promotes the skin's natural elastin, collagen production and helps to reverse premature signs of aging. It also will give your skin clarified immediately! It contains LevensESSENTIE Gold® (a mixture of 22 certified organically grown herbs + essential oils that is naturally derived  from sunflowers, antioxidants and vitamins A and E. Both men & women can use this mask! Wohoo!

1. First pour the herbal powder into a bowl. Approximately 2 scoops or eyeball it. If you are sharing with you friends (sharing is caring!) pour a bit more okay. 

2. After that make sure to close the lid afterwards tightly to keep its freshness.

3. Now add exactly 3/4 scoop of ICT II (Fortified Liquid) into mixing bowl.

4. Now strip it up! The texture should be like a paste.

5. Now that is my current skin moisture, before applying anything. 31.0.

6. Now apply it on to your skin.

7. Now bro fist! This is optional tho.

8. Wait till its a bit dry. You don't need to wait till its fully dry, to this state you can rinse it off. I love how it gives me this cooling sensation!

9. Now moisture level check! From 31.0 to 58.2! Wow! Need I say more? My skin also feels so good and plumpy! I love this mask!

Now I am going to introduce to you the skincare range. If you have a combo skin like me, a lil bit dry and oil. Best of both world right? Haha. From left to right :

1. Paul Penders Alpinia & Teatree Cleansing Wash 120ml | RM85.00

This is for combination to oily skin. This cleanser has a light and a little bit foamy texture. This facial cleanser are plant-derived ingredients claims to gently remove surface dirt and impurities. It also has a natural antibacterial action from an Alpinia extract. This cleanser really smells like the ordinary tea tree oil products. If you are a fan of that scent you would love this! I also love the scent of this cleanser! 

2. Paul Penders Calming & Soothing Mist 100ml | RM78.00

This mist is suitable for all skin types. Also can be use like a toner. Just spritz it on a cotton pad and wipe your face as usual. Also this can be a handy item in your handbag, whenever you feel uncomfortable with your face and need a lil bit of freshness to your face, just spray this lightly! Contains Roman Chamomile that is used to soothe all skin types. It’s anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic properties helps soothe even the most delicate skin. This mist has a light herb scent and feels a lil bit cooling when applied.

3. Paul Penders Aloe & Lavender A. M. Moisturizer 30g | RM95.00

This moisturizer are advisable to be use during your morning skincare application. This moisturizer claims to be a  gentle and light all-day moisturizer for replenishing dry and sensitive skin, protecting skin from dehydration. It absorb fast and contains good stuff such as aloe vera extract, and fine calendula and flax-seed oils. It also contains natural SPF protection!

4. Paul Penders Herbal Sunscreen SPF 22 70g | RM95.00

This sunscreen is suitable for all skin types. Claims to be a sunscreen that provides broad spectrum from all that nasty harmful UV rays. Ingridients such as vitamins repair, soothe and hydrate the skin. If you are wondering since Paul Penders are a non-chemical skincare arnge, the sun protection comes from ethyl hexyl methoxycinnamat that is naturally extract in balsam and cinnamon leaves. This sunscreen does not have that typoical sunscreen scent, but it has a strong herb scent. It does not leave white cast after applying it and does not feel sticky at all.

Tag Thursday | Only One

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. happy Thursday! Now we are close to the weekends. Here is another tag just for fun! There is 15 questions and it consist of things you have to choose, ONLY ONE! How to choose? Some brands/store/things you would love to only want to have and its completes you. Haha. I know its hard, I find it hard too. Hihi. I thought this might be a fun one, and maybe we can know each other better! This is hard. Because there is some shopping mall that I love, but don't have one shop I like and vise versa to the others but I think that, The Gardens Mid Valley, they have everything I love under one roof + quite easy parking!

Seoul Garden! haha Grill and Spicy food, what can I ask more.

Hmm.. Charle's & Keith is good enough for me!

OMG, Absolutely ALDO! I wish I own all the shoes in there!

This is hard but I think, a tailor who can make all my dresses and jubah!

It does not have that really sweet scent but it has this refreshing mild sweet scent. I think its pretty nice. This body wash does not foams that much but pretty good with cleansing.

After washing, apply this Moisture Rich Body Lotion. Also enriched with the Active Manuka Honey and as well as Sweet Almond Oil! I heard good stuff about sweet almond oil! It deeply hydrate and nourish your skin. Leaving your skin smooth and  silky and lightly scented of the sweet aroma of honey. My thoughts. Again I love how it is packed, I love lotion with pump bottle. This is also travel friendly, it has a "plug" stopper that you can insert below the pump to ensure it does not squeezed out in you bag while traveling. What I like about this lotion is that it absorb quickly and does not leave my skin sticky. The lightly scent of this lotion is pretty good too. Its also keeps my skin hydrated for long hours.

ColourVue 3 Tones Lens in Violet

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. Happy Tuesday! How everything going? For so long I haven't done a contact lens review. I personally love wearing contact lenses although I actually does not need one. Haha, I wore the one that does not have any power in it. I find that contact lenses can bring an instant nicer and brighter look to your eyes, add some eyeshadow and your bamb! Today I will be reviewing the contact lens from ColourVue. They have so many styles to choose from. My favorite got to be the one that is lower than 14.5mm in diameter and have natural tones in it. I don't really like the ones that have patterns or big eye effect lenses. I think it does not suit my age already la. haha.

The colour that I have picked are the one in the 3 Tones Series in Violet. They have 5 different options to choose from this series. The lenses are packed inside a box with the plastic container. Remove the plastic container and don't forget to soak in the solution before using it okay. The description said that this is a 90 days contact lens (3 months from opening) and this 3 tones lenses have a diameter of 14mm.

As you can see above the 3 Tones lens in violet have a nice purple tone with a little yellowish tone in the middle. Looks pretty bright to my opinion. My eye colour are black. So If you have black eyes, you may suit the reference of the picture to my picture above. When I first got it I was like, oh man, this is too purplish. So I open the case, soak it in the solution. I am using the MaxOpti Fresh All Purpose Solution if you wonder. Then a few hours I tried the lens. I have a sensitive eyes, some solution gives me the "hell" when I try to apply my contact lens. Alhamdulilah this does not, This lens is super comfortable. If you look closely, it has a transparent surface on the outside, wide lens usually are more comfortable to my opinion. But I don't like Big Cirlce Lenses.

So my first impression on this lens are, I love it because it is super natural at the same time its comfortable at the same time it makes your eye a lil bit bigger but not that obvious. I love how the color blends in to my eyes without looking weird. I love the face it gives me this hint of color on my eyes (not that fake looking eyes if you know what I mean). I wore this though out the day in the office. I can wear this lens all day long, but at the end of the day around the time I need to go back home, I started to feel uncomfortable, maybe because of the haze going around this few days. Maybe an eye drop will help this solution. Overall, I really love the 3 tones series, I think it looks good on me and looking forward to try other colours. RECOMMENDED if you wanna try non natural colours such as blue/green/violet with our black Asian eyes, it does not look weird.

Below I will show you on how I take care of the lens. Featuring the Max OptiFresh All in One.

Storing : Make sure you use a good durable contact lens case. Sometimes from my experience, cheap contact lens case tends to drips the solution out and leave my lens dry. Use a good solution to soak as well as clean your lens. Close tightly when you have done.

Picking up : Here's a tip I got from Traclyn Yeoh . If you don't have a picker, use this method. Try to avoid picking up with your finger, your nails may cause damage to the contact lens. Fold the Q-Tips half, and there you go. A picker. Haha. Pick the lens and put it on the top of your finger. CLEAN FINGER. Remember that. And apply as normal.

Sabya Sense Skyfall Hijab Tutorial

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. Yeay! My first ever hijab pictorial featuring these satin instant scarf from Sabya Sense. Sabya Sense offers not only cool satin scarf but they also have nice cotton shawls and jubahs! I decide to make a review on these satin scarf called the Skyfall Satin Scarf. They have more than 10 colors to choose from! Right now I have 3 colors with me!. I got the Skyfall Scraf in Hot Pink, Dark Blue and Black.As you receive your package, they are nicely packed in a canvas bag and as you can see they have a "manual" haha on how to wear this instant scraft! Instan glam it is. Love how they packed these.

From Left to Right : Hot Pink, Black and Dark Blue. Notice the double folded detail on the top, Now you don't need to figure out how to do this, because it is an instan scraft. Let see below on how to wear this scarf! Ignore my t shirt inside, any clue what cartoon is that? Hint : 90's - 80's kid watch this in December! Hehe. And also ignore the lines, yes I advise you to iron it first. I am just excited to put it on making this pictorial.

How to wear Skyfall Satin Scarf from Sabya Sense :
1. You can wear your favorite inner for the inside part. Find the "head" of the scraft.
2. Place in your head neatly according to your face shape. I have a oval face shape so the folded part does not really placed on to my forehead, but its ok. I kinda like how it turns out and make my face slimmer. LOL!
3.Now wrap it around your head securely, the scarf is pretty long, you might need a double warp.
4. Take a pin and secure it on the side of your head. Be careful!
5. Now the last wrap, adjust according to your liking. I like to cover my chest when wearing hijab and this does really cover it nicely. Love it!
6. Take a small brooch and secure pin the end on to the back of your head.
7. CHECK! and your done!
