Before & After using SK-II

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. I am finally on to my last chapter of reviewing a most-raved about product, the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence. I have been using this for almost 3 months now and I am going to share my thoughts and overall conclusion on this set. If you have been following my SK-II journey post, you might have read about my first impression on the Pitera Essence set that I got, if you haven't here is the post (link). So yes, that is the product I have been using throughout these past three months.

So here is my current skin condition. I feel that my skin is brighter, more radiant, with less obvious pores. Makeup application has become easier. I also took the Magic Ring Test before using this set, you can read it here (link). So let’s see below if my score has increased or decreased since... I took the Magic Ring test again to look for my “after” results. So here it is.

Starting on the Texture Refinement, well... No change at all. Next, is the Firmness Power. Alhamdulilah, increase +18%! The next most improved score is the Wrinkle Resilience, +19% . My highest score before using the SK-II is the spot control and this increased by +9%. Lastly Radiance Enhancement increased by 10%. With an overall total score of 39% which saw a total overall increase of 12%.

So far I am happy with the result since I am focusing on just one product – the Pitera Facial Treatment Essence. I have recently read a post by a blogger who used a wider range of SK-II products that the beauty consultant recommended to her...and she got an average of 90% score, which is amazing!

I am planning on repurchasing the Pitera Facial Treatment Essence and include it in my daily skincare routine. Overall I am happy with my skin; the only thing I am concerned about now is just my eye bags. I need a good eye cream next! I read that SK-II just released the Facial Treatment Essence-Eye. Who knows, I might even get to review that in the near future!

Holiday Skincare Tips with SK-II

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡.  Today I am going to share with you some skincare tips when going on a holiday! Did you know that the type of weather – hot, cold, humid, dry or windy – can really affect your skincare routine? So I am going to cover on 2 different types of weather we commonly experience during holiday and how one should take care of skin under these conditions! Obviously the pictures below are photoshopped just to give you a little picture of the seasons! Haha!

Hot weather? Yes, it’s summer time! These tips can be applied to those of us who live in countries which experience the summer season as well as anyone who would love to come to Malaysia where it’s summer all year long! Other countries that experience hot weather all year long are Middle Eastern countries, Asian countries such as Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia; Puerto Rico and places such as the beaches. So if you are planning to go there, here are some tips and things you need to bring along!

Clean – Hot weather makes your skin sweaty and sticky which in means that you pick up a whole lot of dirt on your face. You need to clean your face at least twice a day. So a good cleanser that helps to remove all impurities is the answer! Try the SK-II Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser. Personally, I think that the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence would be ideal to bring along wherever you holiday. I think it suits both hot and cold weather and can be used for to combat skin dryness.

Heavy Moisturising – Owing to the dry weather in cold countries using a good deep, heavy moisturizer is a must! Skincare & Diet Tips with SK-II

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡.  How you guys doing? How's February so far? Good? Of course! Today I am going to continue my Part 4 of my SK-II journey. Today I will cover on how I use this Pitera Essence set as well some tips and trick on how to take care of what you eat. We must take care of our health inside out right? Yeap. Even tho you would invest in a 1000 ringgit product but you don't take care of what you consume, there is might be a problem, unless you are born with such a good skin. Well, most of us does not have that, including me. So let's start with my skincare routine shall we!

I am going to show you a weekend routine. I don't use a mask everyday, so this step is done once a week. So this weekend, I am using the SK-II Facial Treatment Mask. This mask is made out of 100% cotton mask that drenches the skin with pitera’s fusion of vitamin, amino acids, minerals, and organic acids, while working to revitalize, comfort, and provide intense hydration. It claims to immediately replenish dehydrated skin, leaving it refreshed and cool. The sheet mask is pretty thick and it feels relaxing using it. It does not leave a "burning" sensation when wearing it, but it leaves a cooling sensation throughout the 15 minutes. I like it!

I usually love to wear a mask after my cleanser routine. So I am wearing the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence this time for that extra boost of radiantskin! As usual, tear off the package, take off the mask and put it on my face! It fits perfectly on my face and does not drip. Which is pretty good and free from any watery mess. Gently massage the sheet mask on your face for a more fitted application. Make sure it covers the entire face okay!

After 15 minutes, take off the mask. My experience using this mask is that it is very cooling! I love the feeling of this sheet mask. I just gently massage what’s leftover on the face to let it absorb. I don't rinse my face after that, I will just continue to my Step 4, which is toner! I am using the SK-II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion. It’s very watery and light. So I just use this to wipe my face, get it ready to the next step. Swiping it in outwards motion and just blend together to what's left from the previous Mask. 

Steps 5 and 6 shows how I apply the toner. Starting from the forehead, wiping it upwards and then to the other areas of my face swiping it outwards. I continue doing this until I feel clean and ready for the next treatment.

The best part! The SK-II Facial Treatment Essence part! This Essence acts just like a toner, but you can apply it with your hand like a moisturizer. Me? I just like using it with cotton pads. As usual, put some on the cotton pad. I am using 2 cotton pads here. I soak it up a little bit because I have extra steps with this miracle water.

Just like a tone, swiping it outwards from the fore head and to the other parts of the face. Don't swipe it to fast and to hard, Just gently move it along your face slowly and let it gets to your skin better!

Last step! This can also use under the eye area! So just using the cotton pads I am using just now, fold it to half size and now I am "soaking" it under my eye! I call this a mini mask treatment for my eyes. It does make my eye area feel brighter and more energized! Now I'm done! Sometimes I use my favorite moisturizer too. But by just doing this routine, I am quite happy with the result and it’s a simple fast routine for a busy bee like me! Now, I am going to give some tips and tricks for your healthy and glowing skin from within! That is what to consume! Let see below!

Water, water, water. Nothing beats this magical drink from mother earth! Why water? Just like taking a bath! What if you don't take a bath? EUW! You will be smelly and dirty right? So same goes to your body, if you don't drink, all the "dirt" inside your body isn’t flushed out. So water basically helps to cleanse your body from all the toxins inside your body. Here are some tips! Always bring a water bottle with you! Have a cute water tumbler to keep you motivated to drink up or infuse it with lemon or other fruits for that extra benefit, boost and taste!

Eat good food! Who says you need to starve on a diet? No such thing! A diet means controlling the portion of what you are eating and the choices you make. Eat less oily food and reduce sodium. Eat less fried food, eat less fatty foods. Eat less fast food; eat less junk food especially instant noodles! It contains lots of sodium that can cause pimples! NOOO! Try to switch from fried food to boiled food. Pick healthy ingredients such as tomatoes and broccoli because these food helps to make your skin, oh so pretty! ;)

I love this part! Why? I love veggies and fruits! I always use this option when I am craving for sweet stuff! Freeze them inside the fridge before eating up! Yummy! Did you know, the brighter the fruits and veggies, the more goodness they have? Eat lots of berries such as blueberries, raspberries and strawberries because these have been scientifically proven to have the most antioxidants. Antioxidants help your skin look more radiant! Who said yummy food does not make your skin nicer right? As well as veggies, eat lots of them! If you don't like it, try making it into some nice recipes, try, mixing it with other stuff you like! SK-II Pitera Facial Treatment Essence: 14 days later

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡ . How has Chapter 2 of the year been going for you guys? Have you seen my previous post on my SK-II journey? I am going to give you a full insight of my journey with this miracle water. Many have said that this Pitera essence works miracles for them. If you don't know what Pitera Essence is, you can check out my first introduction post here, (link) and how I got my skin analyzed for problems here, (link).

So I have been using this since the 1st of January, as part of my resolution to keep my skin better. Since this is a Holy Grail product to most women out there, I am going to give this miracle water a shot. So I changed my skincare routine for the purpose of this product. I cleanse my face using a facial cleanser, just switching from one to another (from a mild scrubbing one and a foaming one) and then I pat dry my face. This is where my SK-II routine starts. I start with the toner (the one in the small bottle), wiping my face using cotton pads and then use the essence just like a toner since the texture of this miracle water is watery.

First impression. This essence Well, first thing I notice that 3–4 drops of this is fairly enough to cover the entire face, but I like to use 4–5 drops just to make my cotton pads more moist. Second, yes I got to admit it since I am very picky with my skin care scent. This Miracle water does have a slightly sour scent to it. I am still new to this, we will see if I can get over the smell later. It is not too strong but you can smell it after wiping your face. It absorbs fast and your skin can feel a lil sticky for a few seconds and then your skin soon feels supple! I am not lying! During my lazy days, I kind of skip my moisturizer routine. After cleansing, I just wipe my face using this essence and I feel good to go. I have not used the mask yet, I am going to use it after 1 month or so. Yep, there will be a final post on my whole verdict on this product. 14 days to me is too short to claim its "miracle" power so stay tuned for another post.

My thoughts after 14 days. WOAH to my bare skin. Haha. I don't know if you can tell but there is a different skin tone to both pictures. I have tried to take so many pictures but all of them turn out the same. I am not sure if skincare can make your skin look better in camera? Probably, because I find after using this essence, every time I took a selfie, my skin is brighter. Also you guys know that having nice skin is not about being fairer. Clear pretty skin is about having that translucent clean skin which looks like you have this soft textured skin and visible fair skin. Too much glow and yellowish skin tone can make you look dull.

After 14 days of using it, I can't really show in the picture but I feel my skin is less oily, or maybe not oily anymore. Like seriously and I am not trying to hard sell this product. When I woke up in the morning, my skin is not oily, not over hydrated (sticky face) and my face is brighter. Especially on my forehead, it looks so obvious because I have a big forehead and it really gives that nice glow on my skin. What I cannot see is that my spots are pretty much the same but my redness has been totally reduced. Foundation and makeup application in the morning is easier. My skin is smoother; there are some pores but they’re not that obvious. My skin is a little firmer too. Overall, I think I have to give this more days of testing to see the final result.

I will also practice good diet and healthy living. I have been stressed for the past week because of my Final Year Presentation. I hope I can continue using this with a good lifestyle and see how this will make my skin healthier. My SK-II Magic Ring Skin Test Experience

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. For those who didn’t read my previous post, let me recap what I received: yes, an SK-II Pitera Essence Set! The clear-bottle essence that is raved by every beauty lover. So, before I get in depth on it, I went to The Gardens, Isetan to get my skin tested and analyzed. I bet all of you are familiar and know where SK-II counter is. So, did you know they have this Magic Ring Skin Test?

This is a 5D Skin analysis machine. This is my first time experiencing a 5D skin analysis and I am pretty excited about it. When the test is conducted, don’t be afraid! You don't have to remove your make up. I kept mine on when I had my skin tested. The machine can deeply detect your skin!

The Magic Ring Skin Test. Featuring this magic machine that can analyze 5 dimensions of your skin. The dimensions are: Texture Refinement, Firmness Power, Wrinkle Resilience, Spot Control and Radiance Enhancement. It is this high-tech looking machine and it does not hurt okay. Haha. This machine can help detect the age of your skin and what problems you may have currently.

I arrived at the counter and I asked the SK-II consultant if I can do the Magic Ring Skin Test and she welcomes me politely. Thank you! The skin analysis only takes around 10 minutes. The consultant asked me to sit down comfortably and asked me to hold back my hijab a bit so that she can analyze my skin area properly. She held the red device on to my face at the cheek area for a few seconds. A small dim light captured a screen of my skin.

Then all the data is transferred to the computer for results. It is fast! Then she marked the section of my skin. Jeng Jeng Jeng. Now the results!

So here is the result! Hmmpp... No wonder I am not happy with my skin! To get a perfect score, you have to get 100% to all 5 dimensions. So as you can see here is my result:

Texture Refinement - 27%

Firmness Power - 10%

Wrinkle Resilience - 18%

Spot Control - 60%

Radiance Enhancement - 22%

Total Score: 27% 

The highest is Spot Control! Alhamdulilah! Hehe, my spots are not the main problem for my skin actually!

Then this is the result telling me the "actual" age of my skin. Oh my. Oh, ignore the FTE User age, she accidentally typed in 18. LOL! (Do I look like I'm 18? Awww... *blush*) So my skin actual age is 27. My goodness! Hey I am 23! Man... I really have neglected my skin with all the stress and work. So here is my skin age result for all 5 dimensions:

Texture Refinement – 33 years old

Firmness Power – 28 years old

Wrinkle Resilience – 28 years old

Spot Control –19 years old

Radiance Enhancement – 28 years old

Total Score – 27 years old

And below are the result and explanation on each dimension of mine. 

Then I got to view more detail picture of each dimension of my skin. First one is Texture Refinement. In this dimension it scales out skin that is finer texture, more moisture, less oiliness, less visible pores. As you can see below, the blue mark on my skin is the uneven texture. So that means my skin texture is uneven and not smooth. Saddd >,<

Then, Firmness Power. For firmness it looks for skin that is more energized, with firmer contour/curves, more lifting impression on the eye and mouth corners, and less visible laugh lines. In my case, my firmness power is still not that good. I have no doubt on this as I admit that I have been so rough with my skin and lack sleep!

The third one is the Wrinkle Resilience dimension. This dimension looks out for fine lines, dynamic line with expression, static lines/wrinkles and connected lines. I have more concentrated wrinkles near my eyes. I have a bad bad bad eye bag problem and this may affect the area near my eye. I have this line under my eyes and a lil sagging problem. This is true! Well I need to take care from now.

The highest dimension I scored? The Spot Control. This covers brown spots, brown patches, tone and stubborn spots. Glad I don't have this problem... YET! See that red spots mark on the computer result? Those are potential spots hiding behind my skin. If I don't take care of my skin properly, it will become a pigmentation and well... I don't want that! I got a good score on this and I should make it better.

The last one is Radiance Enhancement. This is scaled on translucency, radiance, glow from within, and skin that is less yellowish & dullness. Hmm, I was born with yellow skin tone! Hehe. I wish I can have more radiant skin tone!

Lastly the beauty consultant showed me something cool. The test allows me to see my “current skin”, "future better skin" or "future worse skin". So the first image shows my better skin if I take good care of it with proper skincare routine and product. This shows more radiance and supple skin finish. The second picture show my worse skin if I don't take care of my skin! I don't want my skin to look like that!

Lastly, the beauty consultant showed me some products that are recommend for my skin:

Facial Treatment Essence

I got this in my previous post! So this is the signature product and can help to penetrate my skin better. It may help to solve my all of my 5 dimension problem! So this is essential!
