Buffet Ramadan 2017 Preview @ Doubletree Hilton Johor Bahru

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to go to preview the Double Tree Hilton Buffet Ramadan. It was a fun event of course, cause it involves food. Haha. So Ramadan is just around the corner and I bet you are looking for some great Ramadhan buffet to enjoy with your loved ones! Head over the details that I am going to give you a little tour around the Makan Kitchen Restaurant at DoubleTree Hilton Johor Bahru. 

There are actually 2 parts of the buffet area, one is the main are which is the Festive Flavors Dinner Buffet at the Makan Kitchen (near the lobby) & another one great for people who comes in groups, the Feast @ 11th Ramadan Buffet at Level 11.

DoubleTree Hilton Ramadan Buffet offers wide variety of food choices and you feel like you had travel the whole world as food from the Eastern, Middle East and much more were offer there.

Fresh Seafood, Mussles and Clams are also there perfect for seafood lovers like me! 

Not to forget, some traditional kuih raare also servedrve there such as Seri Muka, Lemang, Cakar Ayam, Pineapple Tart and more.

Aside from the main attraction for the Ramadhan buffet, the Makan Kitchen area are also open as usual where you can also dine in more food than you can ever imagine. Dessert such as cakes and pudding.

Yuhuu! Frozen Yourgut serve fresh for you!

How about some nostalic chips such as kerepek pedas and kerepek ubi? Yums!

Some sliced chicken, turkey, macarel that I like to eat with my favorite salad!

They have special hand made noodles that you can try, made freshly infront of you.

Dim Sum, Nasi Ayam and many more!

Not to mention more noodles variation such as Soto and Kari Laksa!

Moving on to the Malay Local food. They have ulams, and traditional gravy to eat with your favorite rice.

Then to the Western area, they have potato salads, stew and chips.

They also have made to order area where you can request for a freshly made Fride Rice and more!

My favorite section! The India Section! They have freshly made Tandori chicken, oooh i', so hungry!. They have nasi tomato and curry sauce.

They have alot of salad variety. I love their smoked salmod salad!

Thi toner has a clear syrupy texture, not too watery, and not too thick. It has an ingredient called Polymeric Water Gel System. This helps to hold in moisture to your skin. It has a natural Fresh Berry + musky scent. Best to be used after you cleanse your face.This retails for RM89.90 (price before GST).

DR.BELMEUR DAILY REPAIR MOISTURIZER

Each tube comes with 120ml of product. This moisturizer has a very light, bouncy cream texture. It does not leave any stickiness to your skin and has a very refreshing finish after you massage it into your skin. It has a natural fragrance of Rosemary, Lime & Tea Tree. A very soft citrusy fragrance. This best to be used after applying toner. This retails for RM99.90 (price before GST).

DR.BELMEUR DAILY REPAIR ATO SALT CREAM

The star product which is also my favorite among all. This is The Daily Repair Ato salt Cream. It contains 8% Dead Sea Salt. It is an excellent product for eczema problem too! Why? The Daily Repair Ato Salt Cream are formulated with dead sea salt, which can help to soothe the itchiness of the skin.People who suffer from Atopic eczema skin can see the result of 42% improved skin hydration, 28% improved skin barrier and clear flaky skin during 4 weeks of usage. it has a very soft cream texture which I love and absorb so nicely onto my skin. This can also be used for your whole body! This retails for RM139.90 (price before GST).

Below shows the different texture of the Moisturizer & the Ato Salt Cream. The Moisturizer has a bouncy cream texture, while the Ato Salt cream has a finer soft cream texture.

Fragrance Friday | Flora By Gucci Gorgeous Gardenia Review

It's a new season and Gucci has launched another series from their Floral fragrance. This is the Flora By Gucci Gorgeous Gardenia which is a limited edition extension from the Floral range. With its signature hexagon shaped bottle and black cap. This Gorgeous Gardenia, described as an “intensely feminine fragrance”. It combines the lightness of the gardenia’s first blossom and the richness of the flower in full bloom. I love the tinted pink fragrance look with its blooming box packaging. 

It has a sweet and fruity scent to my opinion. I find it wore perfectly for an evening out. The notes are, Red Berries, Pear, White Gardenia, Frangipani Flower, Patchouli, Brown Sugar Accord. It is inspired by the House’s renowned Flora pattern. Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini explains: “With Flora by Gucci, I wanted to express the loveliness of the Flora woman: charming, romantic, and optimistic.”

Almond Milk & Honey Shower Cream & Body Butter Review

The name of this range gives me the thirst for some Almond Milk and sweet sweet honey! The latest range from The Body Shop. Features the goodness of Almond Milk & Honey! made from organic Almond milk from Spain and Community Trade honey from Ethiopia, Both combinations of the Almond Milk & Honey is specially formulated for sensitive, dry skin.

I got to try the shower gel and body butter. Have been using this for weeks now and I got to say how much I love the calming and sweet scent from this range. The shower gel does not really lather but still, it makes my skin feel fresh and hydrated after every shower. Comes in 60ml and 250ml bottle.

After a shower, I pair it up with this super creamy body butter. It is formulated to soothe, restore and protect dry sensitive skin. I love using this for my legs and hands. It provides 48 hours of intense moisture. 

Each jar contains 200ml of product and retails for RM88.00. Trust me, this jar of goodness gonna last me for months! I also love to bring this to my work table. Whenever I feel dryness on my hand, especially when there are so many paperwork need to be flipped, I snatch up this a it and warm it up  on to my skin.

The Body Shop Peeling Gels Review

Today I am going to talk about peeling gels! It is my first time trying out this kind of products and it took me a while to understand ow it works, how to use it and what it does to my skin. Basically peeling gels are like exfoliators, they aren't peels, and they aren't masks. It is an alternative to scrub that is very easy and gentle. Peeling gels usually comes in, obviously gel texture. A thick liquid that allows you to control the product on to your hand when massaging onto your skin. A proper exfoliation will slough off dead cells, making room for new, fresh looking skin. 

The two peeling gels that have tried out are these peeling gels from The Body Shop. Let's talk about it individually as below.

The first one is the from the Drops Of Youth collection, liquid peel. Comes in a 145ml pump tube. This features ingredients that will help to lift up your skin and remove dead skin leaving your skin feeling fresh and clean. What you do is pump out about 2 squeeze amount of this gel and rub onto your skin in circular motion. I tried this on to my wet face and damp face. I think it works best with damp skin. As you go along, you can see little clumps balls out from your skin. If you do this about 2-3 times a week, you can definitely feel your skin much cleaner and smoother as this already helps to remove all the dead skins. This allows your skin to absorb your skincare better. Compare this to the Vitamin C which I will review next, is that this feels a bit fresher ad less sticky. This price at RM125.00 each.

The second is from the Vitamin C range. This peeling gel is said to target skin problem caused by pollutants. This has a brightening effect on the dull skin. This has a bit more sticky feeling when I rub it in but if you do it correctly, this also helps remove my dead skin cells gently. It has a bit brightening effect than the Drops of Youth version. The picture above are after my hand uses the Drop Of Youth peeling gel, so there aren't much dead skin cell can be seen, haha. But this also balls up the dead skin cell when you rub it in. You will need to rinse your face again & again until the sticky feeling went away. Overall it's a pretty good one.

Mon Cherie New Primer & CC Compact Review

Have you heard about Mon Cheri? I have reviewed their skincare before. Still in love with how amazing they are and how pretty they looked! Mon Cheri started with a skincare line that is formulated in France. Formulated with safe and halal ingredients too. Now they expand their product line to makeup! Here I have tested 2 of their new product, a primer, and a cushion compact. 

Let's start with the primer. It is called the Lumiere Complexion & Pore Refiner Primer. This is one of the products that includes in their Collection De Bouquet line. It can be applied alone after your skincare for that smooth skin feeling or act as a makeup base (primer). It will help to reduce the appearance of pores and fine lines. So after using this, your skin will feel much smoother and acts like a perfect primed canvas for your makeup application.

The packaging is on point! White & rose gold? I'm sold! What unique about this primer packaging is that the cap is not detachable. That means all you have to do is twist the cap and squeeze the product out. The Lumiere Complexion & Pore Refiner has an original marine active ingredient that is called the Laminaria Ochroleuca Extract. This helps to protect your skin and it provides you with anti-photo aging, anti-wrinkle, and anti-inflammatory properties. Along with that protects your skin from pollutant. 

The texture of this primer reminds me of the Benefit Porefessional. It has a slight tint of skin color that said can match any natural skin tone color after you blend it in. It has a quite thick texture and all you need a just a pea size amount on certain areas. It does cover my pores nicely, but be reminded that a proper cleaning it needed. For me, this kind of primer needs to remove properly during your evening skincare routine. As this will cover up your pores, and give your skin a smooth texture, double cleansing it needed.

Second, the Petal CC Cover. Comes in 5 different shade. I got mine in Yellow Beige. It said to be a weightless and velvety soft cover for a visibly flawless skin. Also, provides your skin with SPF 50+ PA+++. Comes in this sleek rose gold packaging. The cap has a smart lock system where you need to open the lid all out to unlock the middle cover out. Comes with the standard cushion compact sponge and what I find different from the other cushion compact I had, this cushion has a firmer surface to dispense out the "cc cream". this provides a great control while picking out the product. The coverage to me is sheer to medium. A very natural finish and you will need a concealer to cover up any spots or dark circle.

This is a great cushion compact for daily use and natural finish. I have a fair to medium with yellow undertone skin shade, and Yellow Beige seems pretty natural to my skin but a bit of a fair effect. You can check out and purchase it at links listed below:

NAC Cosmetics Super Flawless Foundation Review

Recently I discovered this favourite of mine, the NAC Cosmetics Super Flawless Foundation. Been using it since I got it especially night time when I just chill at home and still wanna look cute. Yep, still taking an effort to look cute in front of my husband haha! Wanna know why? I love the fact that this foundation feels like my skin but better. It has a matte comfortable finish and does not look like I wore heavy makeup like I used to when going out. Just pretty cute and natural for everyday at home. I will let you know more about this foundation as below.

NAC Cosmetics Super Flawless Foundation comes in a super chick looking packaging. Black & Pink can never go wrong. Each bottle contains 15ml of product and comes in this sturdy gold pump tube. 

This foundation is Paraben Free. It has a Salmon extracts which help in anti aging. It also has Beeswax extracts that help to protect your skin from bacteria and has anti-acne properties. Perfect for the day, it also comes with SPF35 to protect your skin from dangerous sunlight. Contains Vitamin E & C to help reduce spots/damage on your skin. It stays for 12 hours but it is wudhu friendly. Which means easy to remove for you to take your wudhu properly. You can refer to this video to find out more about the wudhu friendly term. It feels lightweight and smells good! Smells like berries t me. It is formulated with Korea Advance Technology formulation.

The texture of this foundation is pretty creamy. I prefer to use my finger to blend it into my skin. The warmth of my hands melts the foundation nicely onto my skin. The coverage is sheer to medium, after a few minutes, it settles down to my natural skin tone but a bit fairer.

NAC Cosmetics Super Flawless Foundation is wudhu friendly (easy to remove) and has treatment benefits while wearing it. It may come in one one shade but as you apply it, it will match the natural skin tone of your skin base on your blood color. It does not give me that too much of a white cast effect. Also as you can see from the before & after picture above, my pores look visible and my skin looks smoother. It looks really natural and gives my skin a healthy glow looking skin. This NAC Cosmetics Super Flawless Foundation is imported from Korea but has local Malaysia KKM & Halal certificate.
