Yesterday I talk about the Banana Hair Care range from The Body Shop. Today there is more! There are also in the version of Ginger and Fuji Green Tea. If you have dry hair & scalp. You should try the ginger hair shampoo. It leaves your hair refresh and smooth. Blended with potent ginger from Sri Lanka, birch bark, white willow extracts and Community Trade Honey. The scent is a bit disturbing to me haha. It reminds me of my confinement days. You know, ginger all day every day. But it is quite fresh and light. This retails for RM39.00 each for 250ml product.

The Body Shop Banana Truly Nourishing Hair Care Range Review

Who says you only need to eat right when your hair also love some fruits and veggies? The new hair range by The Body Shop got me craving for some banana dessert! In the Banana Nourishing line, it offers from shampoo, conditioner to hair mask. Great for people who have normal to dry hair.

The first one is this shampoo that is enriched with delicious ripe Community Trade Organic Banana Puree from Ecuador. Yes, it smells really like a real banana! This shampoo helps to clean and leave your hair with it sweet tropical scent. This helps to give dull hair a shine and hydrated. They are also formulated with no silicone. This retails for RM39.00 each for a 250ml product.

Option one, use a conditioner to help maximize the benefits. I always use conditioner after shampoo. This usually leaves my hair much softer and the scent will last longer. Gucci Bamboo Eau de Parfum Review

A new fragrance by Gucci launch in the last Spring 2015. A fragrance that reflect femininity and designed to represent a women's diverse sides which are femininity, confidence, savvy and strength. It has a natural and resonant ingredients that creates a captivating olfactory story.

The bottle it self are inspired by the brand bamboo accessories itself.  The scent does not smell like bamboo tho, just the design of the bottle. The silver cap has a shape of a bamboo with a sleek looking diamond like glass bottle with the Gucci logo on the front. Usually I like perfume bottle that are cute or girly, never knew I really love the simplicity design of this bottle! Maybe of the soft pink liquid it has inside makes the bottle looks really luxury looking and perfect for vanity decor display too.

The top notes are bergamot. A composition of a floral to a woody scent which leads to the heart notes of exotic flowers such as ylang-ylang, Casablanca lily and orange blossom flower. The base note are and intense deep sandalwood, a woody warm notes compliments the whole fragrance. I definitely see myself using this fragrance nearly everyday during the day. It has a soft musky scent that is not overpowering and perfect for any occasion.

Although this focus on volumizing, it still leaves my scalp fresh and all of the oils and dirt washed away when I rinse it off without giving me the dry feeling at all. Dove Volume & Nourishment Conditioner - I can never end my shampoo routine without a conditioner! It's like a whipping cream on top of a blended ice chocolate! With my long stucky hair sometimes after washing, I use a bit of this and massage it thoroughly on the ends of my hair. After 1 minute, I rinse it off and wow! My hair feels smooth again and I just use my finger to run my hair through. I don’t normally use hair dryer if I wash my hair at night. I leave this dry naturally and comb it though when it 80% dry. My hair feels smooth and fuller but not that dry type of full hair if you know what I mean. Best used together, the shampoo and the conditioner. Even wearing hijab has not been something I scared that my hair would be flat. I just had a Makeover! | #8hoursofLux Event

Last few weeks I made a trip back to KL for an exciting event by Lux. The event was located in 31 Square PJ, and as I entered, I was greeted by an amazing Black Orchid theme decor that is absolutely stunning. I forgot to take a picture of it as there were so many people walking pass by arranging stuff for the event. Gladly I found out Ayeen Kadir was going to the event too, so I came along with her. It has been so long since I went to a blogger event and I could say I feel a bit awkward for a bit. So had a great chat with her and come along other bloggers such as Sarah, Chenelle, Shea, Cik Epal, Namee, & Charis! So glad I could meet them all. The event starts around 11 am and we were introduce about Lux Fine Fragrance Body Wash.

This is the section where we got to try the Lux Fine Fragrance Body Wash in Magical Spell demonstrated by the Lux crew. Also the brand Ambassador which is the pretty and beautiful Juliana Evans was there to talk about this amazingly good scented body wash. Here I am, trying out some stuff around while waiting for the event to start. We were told to wear our usual simple outfit for the event because we are going for some makeover. As you know Lux body wash is all about that luxury bath experience everyone could have at home. This event is about their long lasting fragrance body wash that could last for 8 hours. Along with that Lux want women to be confident and beautiful all day long just like their amazing body wash. Here is me and the beautiful Ayeen Kadir! We know each other though social media for like 2-3 years if I am not mistaken and we met for the first time face to face exactly during the event! Here we are, all 8 bloggers waiting for our next activity. Each of us was place on each of our spot for the makeover. We have Min as our stylish for the day. Lux also partner up with Zalora for our outfits and SUB International School of Beauty for our makeup.

Min & Juliana giving me some tips and idea look for my makeover. They have prepare me a full outfit that I should wear on that day and a makeup look idea for me. They want me to go for something bold which is a full cat eye look. There were no mirror everywhere, and we could not event allowed to hold our phone during the makeover. What is on our face and how we look is definitely a surprise. It was nerve racking!

I certainty look very bold and colourful! I admit that my before look is my comfortable everyday look. I don't normally wear colourful outfit because I am actually not confident wearing it. Lux definitely has helped me looked at myself that I should experiment more with my looks. Colourful outfit makes me look more happy and confident. Ayeen won a surprise during that day, she is among the most confident of all and I have to agree with them Ayeen does looks beautiful, bold and confident! I had a great time during the event. Thank you Lux for this amazing experience and I learn a lot during the vent. Beautiful & bold, definitely I got to start my day with Lux!

Homemade by Yayah Product Range

I have been getting into body products more and more at this time. Maklumlah nak jadi bi.. orang. Haha. So I glad that I get to try my very own local home-made natural goodness products. It's great to know that people already start to make home made stuff which I find really awesome and innovative. Home made body products have been around in the US since before we knew it. As for we here, we are more to herbal type of body care. By just a few simple natural ingredient, we can actually make our own body care. But I got no time for that. I would just love to have it ready! Hehe. So I got to discover a brand called Homemade by Yayah. Homemade by Yayah carries products such as Body Scrub, Lip Scrub & Face Mist. It is home made and rich in natural goodness. I love how cute their packaging is! They all comes in a plastic packaging with stickers on it. Oh not to mention, these were sent to me in a cute gold box. Talk about shipping presentation. Kudos for that! I am going to let you know my thoughts on each products that I got.

Fine Lavender Face Mist. This natural face mist is made out of spring water and other essentials such as jojoba oil and of course, lavender essence. I reallllyyy loveeee the scent of this face mist. It's really calming and soothing. It can be use as a toner or a quite face refreshing spray.

Jasmine Body Scrub. Who does not love body scrub. This body scrub has a jasmine scent to it. More to a flowery kinda scent. They also have in other scent such as Orange, fine lavender and many more. The sugar inside this body scrub is not too fine or too rough. Just perfect for  scrubbing. It is a bit oily, but as you rinse it off it will leave your skin really moisturize.  The essential contains in this body scrub also helps to improve skin elasticity and provides you with a relaxation sensation of the scent itself.

Chocolate Mousse Body Scrub. Not really a fan of chocolate but this one does smells really good. Chocolate helps to removes cellulite, firm the skin and provides you with high anti oxidants benefits. This is much finer than the body scrub above. I love to your it around my bottom. Haha. Just to firm it up.

Cranberry Lip Scrub. I wish I can eat it. It smells so good and it taste so c=good! Its edible tho! Haha. This lip scrub is great on exfoliating my chapped lips. Pretty good in performance. I really love the cranberry scent. It also leaves my lip a little bit hint of natural red.

Coconut Lip Scrub. Not a fan of coconut scent but this is pretty good! No worries, you wont get green stain on your lips. This has a sweet scent and taste too it. Performance wise just like the cranberry lip scrub.

Recommended to be use all products within 3 month or so! The jar it self id good enough during that duration. Do check out Homemade by Yayah products! She is expanding her business to more and more natural goodness products. All links are listed below!

Batiste Dry Shampoo Review

If the YouTube community say yes. I’m influence. Despite how cute and adorable each bottle are personalize. I’m in love by the concept it has. I guess you guys know about this and yes I will be reviewing the famous Dry Shampoo ever in the market now. It is Batiste and you know what? It is now officially available in Malaysia! Makes it more convenient and great is that its available official online through Health Hub. So I am very excited that I got to try all 7 variants that they offer. Including the colored ones! So there will be lots of picture here and in depth explanation of each variant. Excited? Let’s get it on!

What is Dry Shampoo?

In a nutshell dry shampoo usually comes in an "aerosol can" spray bottle like this one. It spray out this kind of fine dry powder to help soak up those dirt and excess oil leaving your hair just like after washing. Most dry shampoo has fragrance in it so it also leave your hair smell good. It’s perfect for a quick on the go step if you don’t have time to wash your hair alternately.

You might be wondering why I would want a dry shampoo when I am wearing hijab. Actually people who wear hijab need this! It is a must have product for all girls out there whether you are always wearing something on your head or not. Haha. I don’t know about you but I find it difficult to wash my hair every day. The time consume especially when you have long hair. Phew! Talk about those blow drying and towel dry session! It gave me muscle! Also there is an info telling me that you are not advisable to wash your hair every day. The natural oil of your hair is going to help moisturise your hair naturally. But sometime when the weather get humid especially in Malaysia. That greasy feeling. Just annoying! My hair feels itchy and uncomfortable. Hate it!

When talk about dry shampoo, Batiste is one of the most recommend brand out there! Don’t believe me? Try Google Dry Shampoo. The first thing you will see is Batiste Dry Shampoo range. There are so many type out there but right now Health Hub is carrying 7 most love variants from their collection. Here I got from left to right: Wild, Blush, Cherry, Original, Light & Blonde, Medium & Brunette, XXL Volume. The first 4 on the left has different scent. How to use Dry Shampoo?

This is my way of doing it, I usually will comb my hair first, then I will lift up section of my hair from the bottom. I will lightly spray it to the roots. Then I just use my had to massage it in. Lastly, just comb it in place. Bamb! I just took a shower in a few seconds!

So here are all of the Batiste Dry Shampoo. I will explain each scent of the variants and let you know a bit more of each of them. First of all the scented variants.

Wild - Sassy & Daring

Uuu sassy! Reminds me of grav3yardgirl. Haha! Has a sweet and rich scent to it. Have an oriental like mandarin orange scent to it. If I am not mistaken.

Blush - Floral & Flirty

Make me feel super girly. Has a floral sweet fresh dewy and a little musky scent. Remind me of going into Lovely Lace store. Haha.

Cherry - Fruity & Cheeky

Love this one! Have a sweet cherry candy scent. Sweet but fresh. 

Original - Clean & Classic

Has a fresh linen scent. May sound weird but I love fresh linen scent! A little citrus y scent with hint of lemon. Very fresh and nothing sweet. 

Now for the grey capped Batiste. This series focus more on colour and effect. If you are looking for a non over powering dry shampoo with different effect. Try this range!

Light & Blonde - a hint of colour

Probally not for me. haha. Beause it is made for blonde people. Fine. You go have more fun then Just Kidding! This dry shampoo has a hint of yellow in it. Has a light fresh scent to it.

Medium & Brunette - a hint of color

Love this! Ya lah.. I always want a hint of brunette to my hair. Since I cannot dye my hair. This is a great product to give me just a little hint of chocolate colour to your hair. My hair is pretty black so it dies not really change the whole colour to my hair. The scent is similar to the blonde one.

XXL Volume - dry shampoo

This is perfect for that flat hair day situation! My hair is quite thick, so a little goes a long way for this. I find that the other dry shampo also gives volume but this one gives more. Has a similar scent to the blonde and brunette ones. Lightly spray this on the root and lightly tease your hair. There you go, a volume effect hair! Great for creating those flip fringe style or bun hair style.

Recommendation & Overall thoughts. This is a great product to have in your beauty products must have list. Whenever you are in a hurry and your hair feeling greasy. This is a great product to help out. I would not recommend you to use it every day and please don’t switch this method to your normal hair washing routine. If you keep on layering this (keep on spaying it for days and days. not cool man!), It will dry up your hair and leave white residue to your hair (For the non-colored ones) . Spray this at least 15 cm away from your hair. This is not an alternative to your regular washing. This does not help to remove the products (hair gel/hair styling products, dirt) It only helps to soak up the excess oil and greasy feeling on your hair instanly. Good to be use in between when you have wash your hair. It does leave my hair fresh and I have no problem on the days when I feel my hair is greasy and uncomfortable when wearing hijab. Also for the price tag, I find it is super affordable. Not overpriced. I love how it gives me different scent to choose from. i love good smelling hair! The smell last the whole day too! Also this makes a good decoration in your room. Haha! Must have!
