Final Verdict on Physiogel Calming Relief Skincare

It has been 14 days and as promised I will let you know how I feel about this facial skincare range from Physiogel. A quick recap of my skin condition: since I got pregnant and during stressful days and days where there is especially humid weather (early this year), my skin has been a sensitive and dry. I switched up my skincare routine to this simple 1-2 step skincare regime. All I use is the Physiogel Calming Relief CreamCleanser and its Face Cream during the day and I use the same Cream Cleanser and the Face Cream Rich (a thicker version of the Face Cream) during the night. I notice that even in 5 days of using it my skin has been very moisturized and feels bouncy, and as the days pass, my skin has been better. Here is the picture throughout the 14 days of usage.
Within 14 days of using, here is what I can see. The major difference is my pores. I can see that my pores are reduced as my skin gets more hydrated. On day 1 of using of course, I can’t see any reduction in the redness. Continuing to day 5, I can see that my skin continues to be better in terms of hydration, pores are reduces and redness is also reduced. My skin feels less irritated and my skin does not has that "tight" feeling especially after my cleansing routine. On day 10, my skin is well moisturized and I can see that not only it is hydrated but it has this nice glow when I feel my skin – it feels a lot better and healthier. Tell me about it! I find that my makeup application is a lot easier than before. I can just use a tinted moisturizer or a simple BB cream when going out. It stays put and feels a lot natural on my skin. On day 14 I continue to feel that my skin has been better, healthier and hydrated. Less irritated, less redness and pores are pretty much reduced.
Throughout the years I have been used to gel or foam type cleanser. Never knew that a cream type cleanser like the one I tried which is the Calming Relief Gentle Cream Cleanser canbeen a great product for my cleanser routine. My verdict on this is that, yes at first it can be a bit awkward as I am used to foam type cleanser. I think that it is a great pair to my cleansing routine by first wiping my makeup off with a makeup remover and baby wipes, continued by using this cream cleanser which has less irritation and keeps my skin hydrated while cleansing.

After cleansing comes the moisturiser. This is a small feature but I find that pump type moisturizer really helps me out when I am always on the run. I love the fact that I just need 1 pump and just massage this on to my face and I am good to go. At first it feels a bit greasy but a few minutes later it absorbs nicely to my skin. I feel that my skin is protected even in an air conditioned room, as it helps my skin to stay moisturised and not dried by the air-condand my skin feels less irritated though out the day. It is a simple cream that works wonderfully!

Some goes to this one which I use during the night. It feels just a bit thicker than the Face Cream which I use during the day. It feels like a sleeping mask but not heavy at all. I love how this cream makes my skin hydrated throughout the night, which I can see when I woke up in the morning. It still makes my skin looks hydrated and healthier, but minus the just-woke-up face lah. haha.

Overall I think these 3 products are a great way to start for any sensitive skincare newbie out there who are looking for a skincare that is simple, easy and dermatologist-tested (great try if you have very sensitive skin). It moisturises and strengthens the skin by keeping essential moisture in and damaging irritants out.I recommend this skincare if you have dry skin, redness problem, dry skin with pores and sensitive skin. My current skin condition | Physiogel Skincare Journey

I want to talk more about my skin. I hope if you have the same situation as I do, I might be able to help you out. Who knows, the skincare you have been looking for could be these products that I have tested out.

There is a lot of fancy skincare products out there -. I totally understand! It’s hard to differentiate what is good just by looking at the price tag. So I wanted to try something more serious. A dermatologist-tested skincare that is tailored made for sensitive skin needs. I get a lot of emails asking me what skincare is best for sensitive skin, so I am aware that there are a lot of you are suffering from dry and sensitive skin.
I live in Malaysia. It is a country with hot and humid weather. Since I am a working from home, I rarely expose my skin to the sun. I initially have less sensitive skin actually, but my skin is always prone to dryness and started becoming sensitive when I got pregnant. I assumed that it was because I don't like to drink a lot of water, plain water to be exact. I am always spending my whole day in my air-conditioned room. Also since I got pregnant, I might say that my skin has changed a lot. It is more sensitive and lacks hydration. It could be a symptom you know, because in a nutshell, I am sharing my body’s nutrients with my baby! My skin is weak and I barely have the time to look after it properly. It has been a week since I started using this super simple Physiogel skincare routine. As you can see from my previous post which explains about Physiogel’s Biomimic Technology(you can read it here - link). It is just a 1-2 step routine for both day and night.

As for my thoughts on this Physiogel Calming Relief facialproducts, they are easy to use and yesthey really hydrate my skin. I am not even joking. I canfeel my skin is "plump" and hydrated even if I rinse my face with water - I noticed this after I took my wudhu' (the simple water rinse routine where Muslim do before prayers). When my skin is well-hydrated, my skin has fewer tendencies to showlarge pores and itchiness (redness). So even when I am outdoors, even if I am sweaty, I am less likely to feel uncomfortable in my own skin
I have used this skincare for a week plus now. So far I might say, I love my skin. I love the fact that it is hydrated and my pores are pretty much reduced. You can see how my skin reflects the light! Natural strobbing hehe. And yes, my redness has reduced too, mostly on the chin area. Will give it more time and sum up my final thoughts in my next last post which will conclude my 14 days challenge using this Calming Relief skincare range by Physiogel. Stay tuned for the full reveal!

Benefits of BioMimic for dry & sensitive skin | Day 5 of using Physiogel

1,2,3,4 and 5! Today is the Day 5 of me using Physiogel’s new Calming Relief Facial Range that I have mentioned about in my recent last post. You can check it out here - link. So as I am going through this skincare journey, hehe I am discovering more about how this product works – I am learning why dermatologists recommend Physiogel as a scientific solution, differentiating it from other products in the market.

In our everyday life, we are often not aware as our skin is damaged overtime by the weather and pollutants - we can't really see it from our bare eyes everyday. The weather causes us to lose vital moisture from our skin, while irritants from pollutants enter our skin.

Physiogel is inspired by the natural skin structure. The key to soft, smooth moisturized skin is a healthy moisture barrier. Physiogel Calming Relief Facial Care works by providing immediate and long-lasting moisture relief, keeping essential moisture in and damaging irritants out.

What we need is a barrier or protection for our skin. Sunscreen alone is not enough. Physiogel contains Physiogel BioMimic Technology which has essential lipids that matches ones found in our skin, it mimics our natural skin structure (skin protective lipids barrier) and penetrates deeply into our skin, especially for dry and sensitive skin. Physiogel BioMimic Technology is clinically proven to protect, strengthen and repair our skin moisture barrier naturally without harsh chemicals. Physiogel Calming Relief products respect the needs of sensitive skin using pure, gentle ingredients, and has been clinically tested by dermatologists.
The Physiogel Calming Relief facial care range that I am trying helps to reduce dryness and redness for sensitive skin. Both regime during day and night is pretty similar.

First I use the cleanser after removing my makeup with my wipes. Then I rinsed it off a bit with water just t freshen up a bit (this step is optional) and use a clean towel to wipe it off. You can also use cotton pads instead of towel. Then I apply the Face Cream during the day and Face Cream Rich during the night
Here is my updated skin condition! This is Day 5 which is today. I am quite impressed! My facial redness is reduced and as you can see, the dryness around my nose is reduced too. You can also see that my pores are reduced! It is a sign that my skin is really hydrated. I can’t wait to see what other changes will happen during my Physiogel Calming Relief 14 Days challenge, so watch out for my next update on this. So far, I am loving it!

Physiogel Calming Relief 14 day challenge – Bring it on!!!

New year, new skin resolution right?
My skin resolution? Free myself from sensitive skin problems!
Just to share a little bit with you here, I have problem with dry skin. Every now and then, I do come across occasions when my skin become reddish, dry and irritable. They all tend to flare up especially during hot sunny day or if I put on certain make-up products.
In fact this is something common that many of my friends also complain about.
Guess what, we are not alone. In fact, 1 in 2 women in Asia have sensitive skin – which this is something I plucked out from a Physiogel study.
Aside from dry skin, some of the causes of sensitive skin are climatic harshness.
Weather :
Well.. Look at our weather right, hot and humid which makes my skin even more prone to dryness.
Air Pollutants :
Then, there are nasty pollutants in the air, like haze, obviously!
Hormonal Factors
This I can totally relate to! My Pregnancy is crazily driving my hormones now!
Stress
Stress, its leads to hormonal changes, so these also trigger to skin dryness, redness and irritability.
Cosmetic products :
*cough* *cough* Ah… the guilty pleasure of mine indulging in many makeup products!

So I come across this range of products called Physiogel. I’ve heard of it a lot as THE product for sensitive skin, tested by dermatologists and recommended by skin doctors but it never occurred in my mind that I could use it on my face.
Then I discovered the new range by Physiogel, called the Calming Relief face care, I knew it is something that I must try for myself.
Thankfully, Physiogel Malaysia took notice of my facial rants somehow and they invited my for a 14 day challenge!
They told me that studies have shown that 93% of women who have tried Physiogel Calming Relief for face have seen visibly reduced redness. Really??
I will start using them today and will update you on the progress. Here are the 3 products that I am trying out during this 2 weeks.
I was recommended by Physiogel to take a 2-step regime so that I can achieve the best result.
Here’s thePhysiogel Calming Relief Gentle Cream Cleanser
I kinda like cream cleanser because they do removes dirt, make-up and impurities from the skin more effectively yet gently - best for people who have dry, sensitive and redness-prone skin.
Here I just need to have a few pumps, massage them in circular motion throughout the face, and just wipe them off.
Here’s the Physiogel Calming Relief Face Cream and Physiogel Calming Relief Face Cream Rich
Step 2 of the regime, I was recommended to go right into the moisturiser.
Here we have both face creams – one is Face Cream and another one is Face Cream Rich. Depending on how dry your skin is, choose either one, or use both.
Since I have both with me, I’m going to try using both anyway. I’m going to go with the Face Cream during the day & Face Cream Rich during night.
You can see here both cream’s texture side by side – maybe a visually, you can’t see too much of difference here. I can also tell you that they’re free from fragrance and colorants, which means there’s less harmful substances that tend to aggravate our skin condition.
Since I’ve already have them pumped out anyway, I put on the Face Cream on my face. It feels light, yet I can feel immediate relief to the “tight” feeling on our skin after cleansing. There wasn’t much residue and oily feeling on my skin, which I’m also happy with for now.
Here is my skin condition after my first application!
Above shows my skin before trying this product. I am looking foward for this skincare range to help reduce my skin dryness and redness. So, with or without “rich”? Have my skin improved? Too early to tell! I am looking forward to see what results that I may experience over the next 14 days with these products. Watch out for my next post within this week as I will share with you more on my journey to sensitive-free skin!
