Benefits of BioMimic for dry & sensitive skin | Day 5 of using Physiogel

1,2,3,4 and 5! Today is the Day 5 of me using Physiogel’s new Calming Relief Facial Range that I have mentioned about in my recent last post. You can check it out here - link. So as I am going through this skincare journey, hehe I am discovering more about how this product works – I am learning why dermatologists recommend Physiogel as a scientific solution, differentiating it from other products in the market.

In our everyday life, we are often not aware as our skin is damaged overtime by the weather and pollutants - we can't really see it from our bare eyes everyday. The weather causes us to lose vital moisture from our skin, while irritants from pollutants enter our skin.

Physiogel is inspired by the natural skin structure. The key to soft, smooth moisturized skin is a healthy moisture barrier. Physiogel Calming Relief Facial Care works by providing immediate and long-lasting moisture relief, keeping essential moisture in and damaging irritants out.

The Physiogel Calming Relief facial care range that I am trying helps to reduce dryness and redness for sensitive skin. Both regime during day and night is pretty similar.

First I use the cleanser after removing my makeup with my wipes. Then I rinsed it off a bit with water just t freshen up a bit (this step is optional) and use a clean towel to wipe it off. You can also use cotton pads instead of towel. Then I apply the Face Cream during the day and Face Cream Rich during the night 

Here is my updated skin condition! This is Day 5 which is today. I am quite impressed! My facial redness is reduced and as you can see, the dryness around my nose is reduced too. You can also see that my pores are reduced! It is a sign that my skin is really hydrated. I can’t wait to see what other changes will happen during my Physiogel Calming Relief 14 Days challenge, so watch out for my next update on this. So far, I am loving it!

3CE Cream Blusher Review

Can't get enough with creamy makeup products. I bought these two cream blushes a few months ago and has fun playing around and experiment it. One I bought from Luxola during the sale and one more I bought it at Hermo. You can get 3CE products literally everywhere now. Sephora got it too but I'm not sure if they have these. I got two shades. #New Pink and #Coral Coral. What different between cream blush and a normal powder blush is that they can provide you more pigmentation and long lasting effect. But it is pretty hard to control and use sometimes. They aren't convenient as powder blush. Also from my opinion, cream blush can be a "primer" or a base for your powder blush. This way blush can stay longer through out the day. These cream blusher from 3CE are describe as a creamy type of blush with silky texture. They are long-lasting, and has delicate shine that adds liveliness to your cheeks. Cream blush are also perfect if you wanna go for that dewy no powder look!

My thoughts & Review. It is one of the best cream blush I have ever use. Love how it comes in a tube. Which are more hygienic and easy to control how much product I want. Both color actually does not suits me. Since I have yellow skin tone, I don;t know the #Coral Coral orange tone looks weird on and and the #New Pink looks too pale n me, So what I do it, I mix both colors and they look pretty similar to the shade #Baby Peach. Which I plan to buy it but thinking about it, I don;t think I need it since I can mix my own shade with both of these colors. It is creamy and the pigmentation are easy to control. They do not dry up and they stay pretty long on my cheeks. Pretty much longer than my usual powder blush and they are pretty hydrating. Each cream blush comes in a box. They look so cute! I recommend this blush but it is not one of the product that I reach for everyday because it is not convenient as a powder blush. I would basically need to mix the color first at the back of my hand and use it. Then I will need to do some washing. Pretty inconvenient for me especially when I am late. This can also be use after foundation. Top it off with your favorite face powder and use another powder blush for that long lasting effect.

How you can use this. I basically use my finger tips. By dotting a few around my cheeks and blend it it. If it is too much, I will just take my Stippling brush or flat top brush to diffuse it and make it looks more natural. You can also use a beauty blender to blend it in.

It's Skin Macaroon Lip Balm Review

Lip Balm? Macaroon? Hm.. Sounds interesting. Yes they are. Obviously they are not edible, it is a lip balm packaged in a very cute macaroon case. I got them through eBay. It was the time where our currency exchange were only 3.2. Now it is like 4.5. Such a bummer. But oh well, yes, I got this through a Korean seller in eBay. I can;t remember who he/she is but you can basically search It's Skin Macaroon Lip balm in the eBay search box. They retails around RM22.00+ each, based on the currency I got during that day. The Limited Edition (Holiday Edition) one I got from a website called Major B. It is the one that can be use as a lip balm and a cheek tint. I just going to review all of them together as they are pretty similar to me.

In their permanent line, they have 5 varieties. Strawberry, Greenapple, Grape, Pineapple, and Love Choco. The red one are from their Holiday collection and that is in Peach Gelato. They are made from Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Chrysanthemum Morifolium Flower Extract. All of them has a fruity scent based on the varieties that they are labeled. It comes in a matte finish plastic jar that looks like a macaroon. Twist to open it and you will need to use your finger to use them. They are dipped type of lip balm and they are pretty moisturizing. But I did not find my self using them as much as I could remember as I already get used to my stick chap-stick but still. I love them as how they just looks so cute on my collection. Haha. It is pretty moisturizing but still not the best moisturizing lip balm I ever tried. These lip balms are pretty much like a collectibles products that only stand out due to its packaging I could say. Out of all I love how Peach Gelato smells. It smells so yummy! I wish it was a candy.

Juicy Couture Couture La La Review

This is one of the perfume I have been wanting for so long. This is the Juicy Couture Couture La La. I got this through MySale, use some vouchers I have and I only pay this perfume for RM60+. It is one of the best spend money ever! They always have perfume sale and don't ask me more about this. As far as I trust that they are all authentic. So back to the topic, obviously I am going to talk about why I buy this. Of course, the packaging are just... can we just take a moment to appreciate the gorgeous rose gold box and the hot pink ribbon on the bottle. Sho cute! I got the one in 100ml. I think it is the biggest one and yes the bottle is pretty heavy. Not travel friendly. It has this diamond shape cap and these beautiful clear rhinestones charms on the neck of the bottle. Top it of with a very striking hot pink ribbon tied perfectly on it. It also have a embossed silver Juicy Couture signature cute puppies on the front. The bottle is transparent clear and the perfume itself are actually coloured. So that is all for the look of the perfume. Pretty mouthful.

Now I am going to talk about the scent. Another reason why I got this is that this is the scent that is basically "fresh". The first debut Juicy Couture perfume smells more "luxury" I could say. This one are just my type of scent. This version are describe as a free spirited and effortlessly glamorous women. It has a luscious Floral - Fruity bouquet scent with a bit of a fresh musky noted. The top notes are mandarin, green apple and red current. The middle noted are White flowers of lily of the valley, orange blossom with a mix of powdery violet leaves. The base are sensual musk accords. The face of this perfume is said to be Karlie Kloss. They are available in Sephora if you are interested in touching and smelling them by your self and they retails about RM340+ if I am not mistaken. I might dive in to more Juicy Couture others perfume range because i think they are one of the designer perfume that I love especially on the look of the bottle it self. Pretty sum up a Sabrina, the sucker for packaging.

Physiogel Calming Relief 14 day challenge – Bring it on!!!

New year, new skin resolution right?
My skin resolution? Free myself from sensitive skin problems!
Just to share a little bit with you here, I have problem with dry skin. Every now and then, I do come across occasions when my skin become reddish, dry and irritable. They all tend to flare up especially during hot sunny day or if I put on certain make-up products.
In fact this is something common that many of my friends also complain about.
Guess what, we are not alone. In fact, 1 in 2 women in Asia have sensitive skin – which this is something I plucked out from a Physiogel study.

Aside from dry skin, some of the causes of sensitive skin are climatic harshness. 

Weather :

Well.. Look at our weather right, hot and humid which makes my skin even more prone to dryness.

Air Pollutants :

Then, there are nasty pollutants in the air, like haze, obviously!

Hormonal Factors : 

This I can totally relate to! My Pregnancy is crazily driving my hormones now!

Stress : 

Stress, its leads to hormonal changes, so these also trigger to skin dryness, redness and irritability.

Cosmetic products : 

*cough* *cough* Ah… the guilty pleasure of mine indulging in many makeup products!

So I come across this range of products called Physiogel. I’ve heard of it a lot as THE product for sensitive skin, tested by dermatologists and recommended by skin doctors but it never occurred in my mind that I could use it on my face.
Then I discovered the new range by Physiogel, called the Calming Relief face care, I knew it is something that I must try for myself.
Thankfully, Physiogel Malaysia took notice of my facial rants somehow and they invited my for a 14 day challenge!
They told me that studies have shown that 93% of women who have tried Physiogel Calming Relief for face have seen visibly reduced redness. Really??
I will start using them today and will update you on the progress. Here are the 3 products that I am trying out during this 2 weeks.

Here’s thePhysiogel Calming Relief Gentle Cream Cleanser

I kinda like cream cleanser because they do removes dirt, make-up and impurities from the skin more effectively yet gently - best for people who have dry, sensitive and redness-prone skin.

Here I just need to have a few pumps, massage them in circular motion throughout the face, and just wipe them off.

Here’s the Physiogel Calming Relief Face Cream and Physiogel Calming Relief Face Cream Rich

Step 2 of the regime, I was recommended to go right into the moisturiser.
Here we have both face creams – one is Face Cream and another one is Face Cream Rich. Depending on how dry your skin is, choose either one, or use both.
Since I have both with me, I’m going to try using both anyway. I’m going to go with the Face Cream during the day & Face Cream Rich during night.

You can see here both cream’s texture side by side – maybe a visually, you can’t see too much of difference here. I can also tell you that they’re free from fragrance and colorants, which means there’s less harmful substances that tend to aggravate our skin condition.
Since I’ve already have them pumped out anyway, I put on the Face Cream on my face. It feels light, yet I can feel immediate relief to the “tight” feeling on our skin after cleansing. There wasn’t much residue and oily feeling on my skin, which I’m also happy with for now.

Above shows my skin before trying this product. I am looking foward for this skincare range to help reduce my skin dryness and redness. So, with or without “rich”? Have my skin improved? Too early to tell! I am looking forward to see what results that I may experience over the next 14 days with these products. Watch out for my next post within this week as I will share with you more on my journey to sensitive-free skin!

Innisfree Creammellow Lipstick Review

Other than skincare, Innisfree has some makeup products too. I have been wanting to try this for the longest time. The advert got me excited. Looking at Yoona cute lips wearing this. I'm sold. So I got a chance to shop at Althea last few months and they have these for a pretty good deal. I went and grab some. These lipsticks are describes as a sparkling high glossy gel base to make your lips looks voluminous. It has a high adhesive fitting formula that covers lips softly and keep the color stays longer.It has layers of moisture to keep your lips from drying. Insufed with a rich essential camellia il too. The tube are made from matte finish plastic with a rose gold steel inside. They are 3.5g each and they are made from Korea. They have 10 color options to choose from. Here I got 3 colors, #01 Syrub Beige, #02 Banila Pink & #10 Latte Brown.

My thoughts & review. I was not a fan of these lip products actually. The name "Creammellow" actually the main thing that attracts me. I thought these lipstick were going to be a creamy pigmented kind of lipstick but actually these lipsticks are tinted kinda lippies if you know what I am saying. It reminds me of the Revlon Lip Butter but a bit more pigmented. It has a slight sticky feeling too. The first color that I got is #01 Syrub Beige. From the picture above it looks like a Milky Peach to me. Reminds me of a lighter version of Athens NYX SMLC. But what I got is shiny peach with a bit of orange undertone. The second is #02 Banila Pink, I thught it was going to be a milky pink shade but hat I got is a medium pink tint shade. The late one is #10 Latte Brown. A pretty beige color with a red undertone. Pretty nice. But all of them has a shiny texture to it. Just not my preference. If you like natural color tint lip sticks, this might be for you. I might just stick to my matte lip cream and gel tint lip products that I usually go for. Overall it is a pretty good lipstick as it is very hydrating, just that the finish of these lipsticks are just not my type. I freaking love the packaging. Love how they comes in a recycle box and the color guides are on the bottom of the lipstick. 

I bought them at Althea Korea for RM33.00 each instead of RM56.00.

Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette Review

It's about time for me to pour my thoughts on this palette. It is one of my most reach eye shadow palette and I did not have a single regret of buying this. This is the Natural Eye Palette from Too Faced that was launch in 2009. They have others options such as the Cat's Eyes, Matte and many more. When it first came out, it comes in a cardboard box. Now all of their Eye's Palette are redesigned and they comes in a tin like packaging. I bought mine during last year Private Sephora Sale here in Johor Sephora outlets in JBCC. They retails for RM129.00 before the 20% discount. 

This Palette comes in 9 shades. 3 of them are larger than the others. They did this maybe because the larger pans are recommended to be use as a all other shade and you might use it more than the other 6 shades. I love the lace detailing design on this palette, the size are just nice and great for travelling. In each box, it also came with a "manual" or a recommended looks you can do with the shades in the palette. I did really use the manual that much as I just go along with what shade I would like to use when I grab this palette. This palette also has a mirror, pretty handy. 

In this palette they have shimmer, glitter and also matte. All of the shades in this palette are super pigmented, buttery and smooth. On the palette it self also were categorize in a horizontal design on the combinations of shade you can wear during the Day, something Classic or Fashion. From Left to Right. Heaven is a matte white shade with a bit of a warm/yellow undertone to it. I usually use this color to highlight my brow bone. Cashmere Bunny is a matte soft brown shade that I usually use as a transaction shade on my crease. Sexpresso is an another matte shade, a dark brown shade with more of a taupe tone in it. I like to use this to deepen out my creams on the outer part of my lid and also use it on my outer lower lash for that eyeliner shadow effect. Silk Teddy is a soft champagne shade that for me is a dupe for Urban Decay Sin or Stila Kitten. I love this shade so much and I love to use this on all over my lid. Push-Up is another favorite of mine in this palette, a shimmery pinky champagne shade, great for an all over the lid shadow or pair this with Silk Teddy on the outer part of the lid. Erotica is a shimmer with a bit more fine chunk of gold glitter. A dark brown shade with a moss dirt green undertone. I love to use this on the outer part of my lid and deepen out my crease. Nudie is another matte shade. Pretty close to Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow but has a more grey undertone to it. I love to use this to contour my nose. Honey Pot is just a true shimmery gold, a dupe for Half Baked Urban Decay Eyeshdow color but maybe, Half Baked are more pigmented and creamy. Chocolate Martini is another shimmery shade with a fine chuck of gold glitter in it. It is a dark brown with a hit of gold shimmer in it. Best used for outer crease.

I did not use any eye primer when I have this. They last very long on my lid and they stay put. I really recommend this palette especially for beginners. One of the most affordable eyeshadow palette in Sephora I could say and they last for a long time. You can get this at Sephora outlets nationwide, as for now they retails for RM129.00 each.
