As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡ . When it comes to makeup remover products, I love trying new ones and buy them because I don't feel its a waste of trying new ones or buying new ones. After all I use it every single day to remove my makeup. Its one of the most important part during my night skincare routine. I still remember years back when I saw this Biore Makeup Remover sheet in the Japanese/Korean magazine named Mina. Before Mina was translated into English my mom always bought me because we love scrolling through the pages looking at the fashion pictures. Yeap, we don't even read it because we can understand Korean/Japanesse. My favorite part got to be the beauty section. Back when my internet were not that good, I usually go through magazine to scroll on what new product is coming. So there is when I saw the Biore Makeup Remover. During that time, the makeup remover was not yet launch, after a while it was officially launch and I said to my self, I just have to get it! I was attracted by the makeup remover that comes in a sheet form. For me it is innovative! I don't know why I always don't get around to review it until the new packaging already come out and it is the one that I am going to review it now.
So as you can see the new packaging comes in their usual signature color, baby pink. It comes in a box with a lid. I love the "lace princessy" design on the box. Oh yes, they also sells this in their refill box and travel size sheet. As you open, the sheet is packaged with a "plastic foil". So if you remove the sticker closure, you can keep it from drying and store it inside the box. The sheet does not dispense like a tissue. I mean, every-time you take out one sheet, the other sheet that is "going to be next" will not dispense out together with the one you have take out. What the hell am I explaining. I'm so bad at this. So this can help your cotton sheet neatly inside the box.
Now I am going to share with you the old packaging that I still have and the new all improve Biore Cleansing Oil Cotton Facial Sheets. As I told you, I have this for years, God knows when! I have bought the refill sheet for so many time, showing that I love this stuff. I avidly bought the refill around the whole year of 2010 and then I stop buying because I was experimenting on the other brand and then I started buying again and then I stop and it goes on and on and on. I don't know why. As you can see the old packaging comes with a lid too. The side design is just a simple "ombre" / "gradient" pink on it. But then they change the design to polka dots pink and now the new packaging, the one on the right. To be honest I am okay with both packaging, but I like the new one more because of the design on it. Its so cute! Oh and the old and new sheet are also the same except the "dampness" and the "softness" of the sheet are really improved on with the new ones.
It claims that the cotton sheet is made ade from 100% natural plant fibers, each sheet contains moisturising agents that instantly and effectively clear off foundation, eye makeup and waterproof mascara without excessive rubbing. Below I show you the "cleansing oil" squeezed out from one cotton sheet. Pretty amazing right? What important your sheet have to be damp is because a damp cotton sheet have more removing power and dry cotton sheet can cause roughness application to your face. But does this help? Let me tell you all my thoughts below.
Okay, above shows a GIF short demonstration on the makeup remover sheet. I try to remove it fast so you might can tell that I am a little rough during above demonstration. Here I have applying all types of makeup such as from the primer, concealer, foundation, cream eye shadow, pencil liner, waterproof mascara, waterproof eyeliner, lip tint, lipgloss, lipsticks and blusher. As you can tell, on one swipe it does not really remove all stubborn and waterproof makeup properly. After a few pressing and hard swipe all of them removed. The tips is, you have to hold the sheet for a few seconds and then swipe it all. This is much more better for your skin.
My thoughts. I love this makeup remover only for my eyes and lip. This goes first before my baby wipes face cleansing routine. What I do, I always hold the sheets on to my eye area first, give my eye area a bit damp and wet then I start swiping it of. What I can say is that, since the new improve sheet is now very damp and moist, sometime the cleansing oil gets to my eye and cause me pain. The cleansing oil is not oily tho, it is just like the usual water base makeup remover. It really removes all my stubborn makeup in a few swipes. The sheet is pretty small and you probably gonna need two sheet to use it for the whole face. It is pretty costly from my opinion. 48 sheets for the refill and may cost 0.50sen per sheet. The packaging and box makes its convenient and fast during your on the go routine. Overall, all that matters still I love this cotton facial sheet pretty much. It is best to use for eye and lip makeup remover or both if you willing to spend.
