Winners for the Kiehl's Ultra-Light UV Daily Defense Giveaway

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. So actually we have ick the winner for the Kiehl's Ultra-Light UV Daily Defense that I have held early this month. So below are the two winners! They also have get their hands on it and tell us about how they feel about the sunscreen! Congratulations Mieza & Ms Tan!

Mieza thoughts on the Kiehl's Ultra-Light UV Daily Defense SPF 50 PA+++

I have been using Kiehl’s Ultra-Light UV Daily Defense SPF50 PA+++ for 5 days straight, and I can say that it works excellently. First of all, let’s talk about the consistency of this sunscreen. As I squeezed a dollop of it on my palm, I can feel that it is indeed a light cream type. It does not feel greasy or oily when I spread it onto my face. This sunscreen too does not have that pungent smell that many sunscreens came with, so I am relieved upon that fact. Since I have a very small face, I only need a dollop of 20cent size to cover my entire face and neck. My skin absorbed the cream very fast, like in less than 1 minute I no longer feel like there is something on my face. I wore the sunscreen under my makeup, and so far I have tried using it underneath 3 different types of foundation on separate days according to the coverage I need. When I’m using Kiehl’s Ultra-Light UV Daily Defense SPF50 PA+++ underneath a layer of heavy coverage foundation for oily skin, it doesn’t make my face oily at all throughout the day. Then I tried the sunscreen underneath a normal foundation without oil control properties, my does get oily after 5 hours. The same thing happened when I wore it underneath powder foundation. However, I think it is safe to say that even people with oily skin can wear this Kiehl’s Ultra-Light UV Daily Defense SPF50 PA+++ without their face going to end up looking like an oil slick.

Throughout the course of wearing Kiehl’s Ultra-Light UV Daily Defense SPF50 PA+++, I noticed that my skin does not get that tingling or burning sensation upon applying it and also when I was out under direct sunlight. I can feel that it really protects my skin as my face does not even turn red, which it usually does if I’m exposed to sunlight for more than 5 minutes. Besides, I don’t get any outbreaks upon wearing Kiehl’s Ultra-Light UV Daily Defense SPF50 PA+++ and I believe that being a non-comodogenic product it also does not clog my pores. Apart from that, when wearing this sunscreen I can feel that my skin is a bit moisturized by it. In a nutshell, I can agree that Kiehl’s Ultra-Light UV Daily Defense SPF50 PA+++ really does its job in effectively protecting my skin from the sting of sunlight, it gives a bit of moisture onto my skin but for people with oily skin, there will be a need to blot your face after 4 to 5 hours of wearing it on its own or with normal makeup without oil control properties. Another plus point is it does not come with any unpleasant smell and it does not cause breakout, so I can conclude that Kiehl’s Ultra-Light UV Daily Defense SPF50 PA+++ is a worthy sunscreen to invest in.

Ms Tan thoughts on the Kiehl's Ultra-Light UV Daily Defense SPF 50 PA+++

After trying Kiehl's Ultra-Light UV Daily Defense SPF 50 PA+++, I would say I am quite happy with the effect. Firstly, I really love the texture of the Sunblock. It might feel moderately oily when you first apply on your face, but it absorb by the skin very quickly and thus it does not leave your skin looks oily or sticky.

Secondly, I think that this sunblock is worth the money. You don't have to apply a lot. The sunblock can be easily spread.

Thirdly, it give hydration and protection to the skin very well. Now I have less worries when I walk under the sun. I have combination skin, which is oily under the skin (acne-prone) and dry at the surface, which really trouble me a lot. I can't use product that is too moisturizing or too dry. The old sunblock that I used was oil-free, but it ended up too dry until I can see my skin peel off  time to time. But Kiehl's Sunblock works perfectly fine for my skin.

All in all, this is a good product that deserve to be popular and I am sharing this because I hope that sunblock users out there will enjoy the same benefit as well.

Maybelline Lip Polish Review

Maybelline Lip Polish Swatch
As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. I believe that I have reviewed a lot of lip products lately. Haha. #sorrynotsorry. So as you have seen in your nearest pharmacies, or better to be if the pharmacies are next door or whatever. Haha. You may have seen these lip polish. Also a lot of bloggers have been reviewing this. Thank you to Maybelline for sending me one of these. The other two I bought during The Great Guardian Makeover Event I went a few weeks ago. It was on discount so why not I grab the chance along with the review I have to do. The original price was RM32.90 but I got it around RM15 each. Pretty good deal right. Its like buy 1 free 1. We are Malaysian, we love free and discount stuff. Muahahaha. Available in 10 shades to choose from. The shade I got here is GLAM 1, GLAM 4 & GLAM 9.

It is describe as a 3 in one product. Its a lip balm, lip gloss and lipstick. Claims to be the first liquid lipstick that changes lip color forever. Infused with liquid balm to give your lips – and you – that silky, cushiony feel. All in one stunning angora-brush finish. Intense color of a lipstick, shine of a gloss and comfort of a balm in a tube. I have no idea or evidence that the brush is made out of a real Angora rabbit or what. I took this description in Maybelline website, reference (link). I am so sorry about that. I can't comment on this as I don't have any evidence of this matter. It might be a name for some kind of material or whatever. According to my friend that Angora Rabbit fur cost very high. So to a drugstore brand that has an affordable price, it may not be one. It also describe as an unique leaf shape application that makes application easier and creating that 3D effect to the product application. The applicator is soft and it has this kinda small hair strands that pick up the product evenly so your application is easier and mess-free.

Now to the packaging. I really love how it is each lip polish is differentiate with its actual color. So you can see clearly what you are reaching for. Its a clear hard plastic tube and there is a lip stick shape on it. It look so nice in my drawer. Hoho. Now to the texture. All of the lip polish have a lip polish texture. Its thick and glossy. For pigmentation, I can see that each shades has different pigmentation. Glam 1 has a peach pink undertone. Pretty like a nude pink color with a hint of silver shimmer in it. Glam 9 is the pretties among the other 2 lip polish. It has a baby pink with cool undertone. Glam 4 has a terracotta hues with red base. I don't really like this shade actually, and it is not that pigmented. Overall, I think it is an okay product. Glam 9 is my favorite. The color looks nice on my lips. Glad I bought it on a discounted price. Price wise for RM32.90 is worth the money for some shades but if you like a light and sheer finish with a hint of color of some of the shades, this is for you! It is also hydrating and stays on your lips for 1-2 hour.I think this goes so nice with a matte finish makeup look!

Name : Maybelline Lip Polish
Price : RM32.90

NeuLa 8 in 1 Tea Tree BB Cream

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. I know that I have been around with BB Creams this year around. I personally love BB Creams because I relize that it keeps my skin better and makes my skin "nicer". It is mostly lighter than foundation too. So I have tried a lot of BB Creams lately. From many finishes and texture. Today I am going to review this Tea Tree Oil BB Cream from NeuLa. Claims to be a BB Cream that prevents pimple, does not clog pores, has UV ray protection, conceal imperfections and oil control.

When I first swatch it can I really feel it has a light texture. As I blend it in, it leaves a bit of white cast and not pigmented enough as most thick BB Cream have. It has a slight Tea Tree Oil scent too it. I kinda loves that. This is the only shade available. It has a bit of yellow tone too it too, I think it can be wore by any skintone. Why I am saying that is because the texture and how its melts in your skin. The coverage is Light-Medium. This does not really helps to cover imperfections but it gives you a nice tone tpo your skin. As you blend in, the color matches your natural skintone nicely. It has a satin finish. Not too dewy not too matte. It last for 3-4 hours. I recommend this BB Cream for you who does not really wear makeup and look for a tint of color to your face for everyday use that also has benefits to heal your skin. Powder on top to set and gives you a matte finish. It does not help to help pimples but it helps to prevent for it.

Name : NeuLa 8 in 1 Tea Tree BB Cream SPF 30
Price : RM22.90
Where To Buy : http://www.kirayent.com/
Net Weight : 30ml
Ingredient Highlights : Witch Hazel, Horse Chestnut, Calendula, Centella Asiatica, Tea Tree Oil & Ruscus Aculeatus

COVO Intensified Lipstick | Magnetic

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. Happy Monday. Today I am going to review this lipstick from Covo Cosmetics. If you have read my first review on COVO Cosmetics before, which is the HD Powder you may have a little introduction of the brand. You can read it here, (link). Covo Cosmetics currently ahve 3 type of lipstick which is this one that is the Intensified, Moist M, & Matte. Describe as a lipstick that formulated with vitamin E and active ingredients to moisturize, nourish, reduce signs of aging and improves the depth of fine lines and wrinkles on the lips. Its’ butter-like formulation is specially designed to glide smoothly without bleeding and condition your chapped lips. Your lips are kept soft, smooth, and super-hydrated longer.

Of course the first thing I notice is the packaging. This lipstick comes in a  boxed packaging. Love that. As you separate the two part of the tube, you may notice that a mirror pops out. How cool is that. So you can definitely apply your lipstick anywhere. I choose the shade in Magnetic. It is a orange undertone red lipstick. I have not own any orange-red type of lipstick so I give this a go. On first application is feels buttery. Kinda reminds me of the Revlon Lip Butter but this has more nicer pigmentation. On first application it is appears sheer. Its pretty builable. This lipstick is pretty moisturizing too, I don't think an additional lip gloss is needed,. Its pretty glossy and your lips looks hydrated. It is a bit slippery sometimes if I put too much of it. The color payoff is also nice and does not look really bold for day time use. Overall, it is a pretty nice lipstick, bonus point for the packaging innovation! But I don't think orange tone lipstick suits my skin.
