Colourpop Bare Necessities Swatch & Mini Review

Assalamualaikum, how you guys doing? Ya Allahhh, where have I been kan? Adult life is taking a lot of space in my life but I very grateful for every second that has happened. At the time I am typing this, the world is actually at a very worry situations. The whole world has been partially shut down due to the Covid 19 situation. Currently, in Malaysia, we are at our 4th week of Movement Control where most of us have to work from home, only 1 person is allowed to go for groceries shipping and our beloved front liners are battling to saves us all. I gotta say that I kinda love working at home, I have set up my whole office desktop at my house and at the same time I am able to be with my son all the time. Ahahaha. So right before the MCO starts, my Colourpop package arrives. Colourpop is one of the US brands that I would say I went a lot and shop. Because of their pretty good delivery time FREE international shipping on orders above 50USD (about RM230+). Their items are usually on sale and affordable. Lots of choices too! It took about 2 weeks from it to arrive from USA - Malaysia.

I am not a big palette person, I just hate the size and unable to bring it anywhere easily but I just can't stop myself from owning the BARE NECESSITIES PALETTE. The hues and shades are just ugghhhhhhh, gorgeous! The palette is about 34USD (approx RM140+), but as I remember I use Emma from @colourpopcult 10% discount code - BEAUTYCULT & I save a lot!

The palette itself is just like normal cardboard material but this one has a "leather" feel to it with a very gorgeous leather embossed effect on the front.

It contains 30 eyeshadow and if you are wondering about the size. These shadows pan size are not the standard 26mm just like theMAC single shadow/MUG single eyeshadow/Colourpop Single Pressed Eyeshadow. It is slightly smaller, about 20mm per pan. So actually the whole palette is not that really big as the MORPHE eyeshadow palette.

Look at the colors. My goodness. It is a neutral palette but not that boring type of nude palette. It has warm hues, cool browns, some warm purples and dark browns with different finish and textures.

Overall : Obviously, this palette is just stunning as it is! I definitely see myself going to use this a lot, the browns and neutral great for base and transition colours, as well the darker and brighter colours are a great everyday pop of color. My everyday makeup might not be boring as it have been. The textures are mixed, some of mattes are super creamy and some of them are a bit hard to swipe out, the shimmer, and glitters are pigmented as usual <3 I might deporting these to another palette maybe, Im not sure, see if I am about to get messed up.

ABH Modern Renaissance Palette Review

It took me so long to jump on this bandwagon. This palette has haunted me forever through social media. I could hold myself back, so when it was in stock from a local trusted seller, I just have to get it. Usually, it will be sold out in just a day. Glad I finally have it.This is the most loved eyeshadow palette from most beauty gurus in YouTube for 2016. It is the Modern Renaissance Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills. Features warm colours that perfect for a natural look and of course warm glam look.

It comes in a suede outer packaging and the inside is cardboard. I like the suede detailing but yeah, it takes a real deal to care for it. I try my best to avoid any stains on it like what I did with my Naked 1 palette. It comes with a dual ended brush which I loooveee! I don't usually like brushes that come with the palette, but this one is the real deal. The blending brush is amazingly useful and works amazingly good.

I had this for a few months now but I don't really go through everything. My favourite go to natural looks shades are on the left side. Golden Ochre, Raw Sienna & Burnt Orange are an amazing transition colour. Vermeer & Primavera area my favourite all over lid colour. Cyprus Umber & Realgar are y favourite outer crease colour.

Beware of fakes one. There are all over the market. Sad thing :(. Overall I really love this palette, the variety of warm colours it has and how super pigmented the shadows are.

The Body Shop Down To Earth Eyeshadow Quads Review

I am so into eyeshadow palette lately. I have a long list of eyeshadow palette that I want to collect for no reason. I felt that I need all. Haha. Recently The Body Shop Malaysia launched their Down To Earth Eyeshadows. From a full pan of 8 shades to quads. Today I will be featuring some quads that I have tried. All The Body Shop Eyeshadow are 100% vegan! Each quad comes with 4 different eyeshadow in square pans. Comes in a black plastic case with a mirror in it. Each eyeshadow squares has a net weight of 2.2g. Oh and the eyeshadow pan can be clicked out so you can customize your own palette. Simply push it from the back to take t out. I forgot to take some pictures to show you. Below I will show you the swatches and descriptions.

This quad is called Go For Gold. Contains gold with yellow undertone eyeshadow shades. In this quad, it has mattes and metallics. The top left color is called Sahara Dune. It is a perfect matte brow highlight color, super pigmented and buttery soft. The top right color is called Aztec Gold. A shimmery gold shade, not that pigmented but still smooth when applied. Bottom left is called Essaouira Bronze, a shimmery bronze shade, pretty pigmented. Bottom right, Amazonian Earth. Highlight pigmented dark brown shade! Overall I really love both of the matte shade mentions.

This quad is called True Romance. This quad features romantic hues of taupe and purples. Top left is called Attica Marble, A matte white shade. Compare to Sahara Dune from the Go For Gold Quad, this is more white, but has the same texture, soft and buttery smooth. Top Right is called Petra Sandstone. A shimmery light taupe shade. Super pretty! Bottom right is called Penrhyn Slate. A dark taupe with purple undertone in it. I think it has a pearlized finish. Last a the bottom right is called Bengal Granite. a shimmery dark plum purple shade. 

This quad is called Smokey Grey. Features gray undertone eyeshadow shade. From the Top left is called India Rose Quartz. A sheer light champagne shade, perfect for highlighting. Top Right is called Atlas Rhassoul, a matte gray with an olive tone in it. Bottom right is called Cerro Rico Silver. A shimmery light gray. Lastly, it's Siberia Anthracite. A pearlized medium gray.

Sleek i-Divine A New Day Review & Swatches

Did you know that Sleek is now available in Malaysia! You can officially purchase them at Hermo Malaysia and Sephora Malaysia. Today I will be swatching a do a quick review on the new palette I just got from Sleek. As you know their i-Divine eyeshadow palette are always the bomb and super pigmented. As for now if I am not mistaken, they have 22 palettes to choose from. I once have the palette in Store if I am not mistaken. This is the i-Divine palette in A New Day. This palette features a back-to-basic soft nudes, subtle golds and warm peach shades. Contains 12 shades in one palette. The eyeshadow is really creamy and easy to blend. Above are the swatches. My favorite has to be Let it Go, Be Happy & Believer! I just wish that the palette has a "indicator" or different design to show which is which of the different palettes they have. All of the i-Divine palette have similar black hard plastic case.

120 Color Eyeshadow Makeup Palette & 15 Color camouflage concealer palette by Supermodels Secrets

I always want a palette full of endless posibilities, and so I opt for this 2 palette that I got from Supermodel Secret. Its like what I call back up, incase i needed some bright green or bright yellow eyeshadow. This is the 120 eyeshadow palette. It comes in a dome look small shaped eyeshadow and yes, look at those colors in the palette. Greens, blue, plums, purples, bright orange, warm tones and more. The another palette is the 15 concealer palette. 

It comes in this very light plastic case, it does feel tacky but still it looks neat to me. On the front there is the Supermodel Secret logo sticker.

This 15 concealer palette has a very creamy texture. I actually ahd this before when I just started in to makeup, I hit pan most of it and looovvee this palette. So I got a new one to paly around. The colors are really pigmented and coverage is off the hook! It is great for concealing and contouring. 

Then, the 120 palette. The palette comes in a plastic case too, and both side can be detached for easy holding.

On the right side is more of a warm bright colors and on the other side is more of a dark neautral colors. 

The pigmentation is pretty okay, a bit chalky to some colors but I find it is still workable and it is sooo much fun to see so many colors in one palette. These palette retails for RM85.00 for the 12 palette and RM43,00 for the 15 concealer palette.

Pony Effect That Girl Fever Shadow Palette Review

People said Pony (real name Park Hye Min), is like the Korean Michelle Phan. She is a well known makeup artist and YouTuber in Korea. She also have a beauty like called Memebox. In this Pony Effect holiday collection I got the chance to own this cool palette that is pretty much unique in my collection. Most of my collection are nudes and neutral, I'm trying to step up my game and invest in these bright and not so everyday kinda shades palette. This palette is called Pony Effect Seoul That Girl Fever Palette. Palette perempuan demam. Hahaha. Just kidding.

The packaging? Pony does put a lot of effort in making her cosmetic line looking so sleek and awesome! In the collection also consist of some nail polish, lipstick and contouring palette. It comes in a black slide box, and inside it is pack in a holographic box that looks super cool, and in that box is the palette. The palette is in this matte purple case. The size is pretty good, and not bulky. It has a mirror inside and in the palette you will get 9 eyeshadows with names on it! I like when eyeshadow shades has their own individual names.

Here are the swatches of the eyeshadow. You will get 3 different finishes which are : 3 mattes, 4 shimmers, and 2 glitters. On the first top row, #InCity y is a matte brown shades. Pigmented and smooth. Great for the crease color. #Overdose is a gold-bronze shimmer finish shade, smooth and pigmented. #AllNight is a soft chocolate matte shade, smooth and pigmented. The second row, #BeautifullLiar is this really beautiful burnt orange shimmer shade. #ReadyToParty is a red burgandy shimmer shade and #DrunkDial is a dark moss green with a hint of purple shimmer in it. All smooth and pigmented. The last row, #Just10Seconds, a white glitter shade with a soft green shimmers, a bit flaky and not so pigmented. Pretty good to be used for the inner corner of the eye maybe. #AllThatGlam is a yellow based gold glitter eyeshadow, a bit of a fall out, pretty good. Lastly, #BadorGood a matte red shade.

NYX Butt Naked Underneath It All Palette Review

I got this palette a while back last year during my birthday and it has been my staple palette when I am traveling last year. This palette make me discover that I love warm and burn orange eyeshadow. Never knew it is such a versatile color and a pretty bold color to be use in my everyday. It makes me wanna go and find a single eyeshadow color that looks like some of these eyeshadow and put it in my custom empty palette. This palette comes with 15 eyeshadow color with a mix of matte, glitter, shimmer and satin finish, 4 blusher from lights, peach and bright and lastly 3 illuminators. The blush and illuminators are place in a easy to slide pan on the bottom part of this palette. The case is made out of plastic and comes with a big huge mirror that is handy. Its pretty bulky but I find that it is travel friendly.

The 15 eyeshadow.

From first row left to right. You can see the numbering on the back of the box packaging. There are no specific names for each of these shadows. My favorite has to be number 2,5,7, 11, 13 & 14. Some of them are butter smooth especially the top row and some of them are pretty chalky like he number 15. It is one of a kind palette that not natural palette usually have. The mix of burnt orange, greens and dark plums are amazing to create different looks than your usual. 

The 4 blusher and the 3 illuminators.

The blush are pretty okay, not that pigmented and you will need a whole lot of layer to make it visible. My favorite blush are the one in number 3 and 4. A natural matte blush that looks good together. The illuminators was pretty disappointing. It is pretty chalky and hard to blend. It does not look really smooth on my skin. But they look pretty cool when swatched.

Look I created using this palette :

I use the eyeshdow number 11 for my entire lid, 15 for my transaction shade, 12 for my crease and I deepen out my crease using the number 14. I also use the plum shade number 12 on my lower outer corner. I highlight my inner corner using the eyeshadow in number 10. For cheeks I am using the blush in number 3 and 4 then highlight my cheekbones using the illuminator in number 2. 

You can purchase this palette at Sephora. I am not sure if they are a LE or a permanent palette. I got this from my mom during my birthday and I think they retails for about RM100+. What do you think of this palette?
