PIXY UV Whitening Two Way Cake! Who does not know it? I have been loving it for years and I bet you guys have tried it and love it too! It is affordable and it delivers so well! It is formulated with Japan Technology. Also it has sun protection of SPF 15. Today will be a special review and post for this amazing legendary two way cake powder. I will be showing you two techniques using this PIXY Two Way Cake. Dry Technique, for everyday look/outdoors activity look, or Wet Technique for high coverage, glam look! Plus shading & highlighting using these. How cool is that. Want to find out more, watch below video!
It comes in a white case and a sponge applicator and comes in 5 different shades that you can choose from; White Cream, Yellow Beige, Natural White & Tropical Beige. It has a very fine texture and easy to blend into my skin. It gives me a sheer to medium coverage.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Dry Technique is simple; it is basically your everyday makeup application style. Simply using the sponge provided and gently apply it with a sponge using downward strokes from the center to the outer of your face  following the direction of your facial hair so that the finishing would look natural and seamless. For more coverage, simply apply another layer. I love how it refreshes my skin to make it looks natural and brighter!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
To give foundation effect. By simply damp the sponge with a room temperature water (make sure to squeeze any excess water). With the damp sponge, use it to apply the powder on to your face. Apply using the same dry method application and repeat the steps if you want a fuller coverage.
Now the fun part! To do shading The darkest shade of all 5. Damp the sponge and the folded it into half to create a narrow shape. This way I can easily shade my cheek and start adding the darker shades to contour my entire face.
Apply the PIXY Two Way Cake in Tropical Beige on your cheek bone, outer part of the forehead, side of your jaw and for a slimmer nose effect, on the side of your nose. Then I use the PIXY Two Way Cake in the shade White Cream to Highlight. I apply it on my forehead, top bridge of my nose, chin and top part of my cheek bone. By using the same damp sponge, I blend everything away to make it look natural. For me PIXY Sempurnakan Ku because it helps me achieve fresh looking skin with a simple application everyday. Coco Blanc Aura CC Pressed Powder in C3 Review

Powder up! Today post is going to be about a powder that I receive recently. I just love how this powder looks. So luxury! It is the Cocoblanc Aura CC Pressed Powder, a brand from Thailand and this powder is one of the most hot selling powder over there. Glad that Ainareduzan Beauty bring it here to Malaysia for you to get your hand on these. This powder is describe as a powder that will give you a natural dewy finish and glow. It also contains Vitamin E & Vitamin C to help improve your skin from scars.

What I like about it. You know me. Of course. Let's take a bit of a moment to admire the sleek packaging. It reminds me of that one high end brand. Wink Wink!  This compact comes with a box and it has a nice sponge that you can use for touch ups. I like to use face powder with my favorite face brush. It gives me a nice glow and subtle sheen of fairness. It works great with my CC Cream and BB Cream that has more of a fair tone effect. Has a light texture and smooth finish.

What I don't like about it. Might be too fair for my skin. So it works great only on top of my BB Cream or CC Cream. Not the best to be worn alone. That is all I think.

Overall & Recommendations. This works really great if you have fair skin. It has a light highlight in the powder that gives you that dewy finish without that "wet texture". As mention above this works great with CC Cream or fair toned BB Cream. A great finishing powder to be exact. I find that it does not works well with normal foundation. Maybe because my normal foundation is not that fair enough. I might rate this as a sheer to medium coverage. Recommend to you who lare looking for a great pair for your favorite BB or CC Cream and want something that highlights and give you that nice glowing skin. Thumbs up!

Ecco Bella Flowercolor Face Powder Review

Hey guys! Today i will be sharing you a powder that I have been using for the past week. It a something different for me because I think I haven't tried any organic powder before. I also been introduce to a brand that sells organic makeup items. Pretty interesting to me as I find that us Malaysia people love anything natural and organic right. It is a talc-free finishing powder with flower wax-coated pigments. Maybe that is why it is called Flower Color. It provides light to medium coverage in a flawless finish. It's also said that for extra skin care benefits, this powder contains green tea extract, flower waxes, aloe vera and vitamin E. It is packaged in a recyclable paper compact with a mirror and puff.

What I like about it. I love how the packaging looks. Personally cardboard packaging is really cool and I find it is more durable. It reminds me of the Tarte powder packaging too. I love the light and seamless finish it game on to my skin. The shade Light really suits me well. I find that this works great to be worn alone with some concealer application before. It does not have any weird smells or so. I also love the fact that this powder contains lots of natural ingredient in it. Chemical guilt free!

What I don't like about it. I may not like the puff. I don't really use the puff that much as I find that it takes to much of the product out. I use my favourite Powder brush to apply this powder.

Overall & Recommendations. I recommend this powder if you have oily skin or combo. It leaves your skin matte for quite a few hours. Reapplication also does not caked up even if you reapply on top of it if it tends to face. Color availability Pale, Light & Medium. Mine is in Light. A great organic powder and brand you can look forward to try out! It's Vegan, Talc free, fragrance free and paraben free. This brand is not available locally but you can get it from this Insta shop : www.instagram.com/cardigan_at_thea . Contact the seller and she more than happy to assist you.

Maybelline White Superfresh Powder Review

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. Many bloggers has review it and I might as well pour my own thought about it! Receive this a few weeks ago and had tested it about a week. This compact powder is said to be a powder that has a unique Clean Touch Powder System. The innovative system helps to absorb sebum and also helps your sweat to dry faster so your skin feels fresh all day long. The Clean Touch Powder System's Mineral Perlite contains 5x more absorption more than normal powder talc. It has a lightweight formula that is suitable for everyday wear.

What I like about it. I love the design of the compact powder. Although the white case catches dirt easily, this looks sleek in my collection. It also comes with a nice soft sponge. The texture of this powder is really fine and does not have too much coverage which I like. It is nice to be use above foundation to set it in. It's also have a nice fresh scent in it! Price wise are also affordable. Have UV protection.

What I don't like about it. Re touching is needed. It does not last that long on your face. A bit white cast effect if you apply to much.

Overall & Recommendation. This is a nice compact powder to have in the stash if you are interested. It has a nice light coverage and perfect for people who are looking for a nice natural makeup items. This is pretty much a basic powder anyone can have. This does reduce shine and leave your skin matte without having a cakey face if you reapply for touch ups.

L'Oréal Paris Mat Magique All in One Compact Review

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. I saw one of my blogger friend Harmini all over the youtube ads been loving this powder! Now I get the chance to try it and let me give you my thoughts on it. A new powder launch by L'Oreal that said to be a 12 long hour matte wear. So this powder is mainly focus on giving you that shine free and matte looking face. It said that matte (supernaturally fresh, sexy and flawless) is the new beauty trend revealed in the fashion week it said. It is infused with Volcanic Perlite to gives you this natural yet powerful sebum absorbent keeps shine away. This mineral is know for its excellent matting effect.

What I like about it. I love the packaging of course. Because it pink. Nah, that not the point. The shade suits me well and this powder can be use alone and it gives you just the perfect amount of coverage. Shade selection are also pretty nice and price wise are also affordable. Case are very compact and travel friendly.

What I don't like about it. It is a bit heavy if you apply too much or you use it with a heavy coverage liquid foundation before it. As to my preference, I find this works nicer to be wear alone.

Overall & Recommendation. It is best to wear alone. Perfect for you who does not like to wear heavy or layered makeup. Use you moisturizer and maybe a bit of concealer and pat this on. It gives you a matte finish and to my experience it last me about 3-4 hours. Pretty good. It coves my redness nicely too but now my dark spots. I also love how it has sun protection in it (SPF34PA+++).

L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder Review

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. Let's talk about face powders. In most of our makeup routine, powder is an essential item to set the makeup on your face as well as to some of you who don't really wear makeup, there is a possibilities that you still have it in your beauty stash. I find that powders are also one of the first makeup product I own years back. When talk about powders, there are many type of powders. From compact powder (usually sheer and does not give full coverage), powder foundation (like this one I am going to review, medium - high coverage, setting powder/translucent powder (mostly use for professional step makeup application) and many more.  I have a hard time to really notice a different in each face powder I own. They can be either just give me thew same result or just different in longevity. After a few months trying of this powder, as you can see I already hit pan this powder, I thought I give you my views on it.

I got this product in my last prize winning contest I blog about last year. I heard good reviews about this powder and some of them said that this is a dupe for the famous MAC Minirelize Skinfinish. I never tried that MAC Minirelize Skinfinish so I can't compare. First let me take... no. let me talk about the packaging. This comes in a plastic case with 2 side of opening. One is for the sponge + mirror they provide and one is the product it self. I love the sponge, it is easy to clean and it is super soft. This powder does not have any weird scent or fragrance in it. Texture wise, fine and buttery smooth. Does not cause any mess and the powder does not feels heavy at all. For the first 3 months of using it I wore it on top of my different foundation and bb creams that I use daily. What I can see is that is serve just like other powder I tried. Matte but not heavy, but reapplication of touch up is needed after a few hours. Nothing special. After a few months, I have change my mood on wearing makeup. During the "stress day" I went through last few months due to work, I feel like I don't want to wear liquid foundation. So I tried using concealer for my spots and under eye and just top of with this powder. Result. Love it. I find that this powder works well alone.

Maybe because of the powder it self can also help give that nice coverage and if it is wore together with a liquid foundation, it becomes slippery or a little more heavy. This powder also matches my skin tone so well, to what they claim that is Super Bendable is totally true. Its kinda melts into my skin nicely and gives me this natural coverage to my face. Still, concealer is needed for that spots and dark eye coverage, then this powders is suggest to be apply all over you face with padding motion over the concealer. My skin looks so fresh and neat. I super recommend this powder for daily use for that natural makeup look. I suggest use a powder brush if you want to apply over liquid foundation to help gives you more fine application to avoid heavy coverage that may cause patchy and uneven skin tone color. This comes in 3 different shades if I am not mistaken. The down side of this powder is that I really find hard time to touch up my makeup because the mirror is on the bottom part, you kinda need to close and open up the compact to reach back the product and look back at the mirror. Pretty inconvenience to my opinion. Oh it rhymes.

HD Picturesque Loose Powder SPF 10 Review

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. Happy Monday. Recently I have got the chance to try out some awesome products from our own home grown brand called Covo Cosmetics. Cool! I have a few products with me so stay tune for more reviews post from this brand. I am starting out with this HD Picturesque Loose Powder that has SPF 10 in it. So here is a little introduction of the product. Claims that, COVO HD Picturesque Loose Powder SPF10 comes in a no-waste grinder which allows you to control the amount of loose powder needed for setting your make up. Enriched with minerals and light-diffusing powders to create a soft-focus effect for a radiant and healthy glow on the skin. No oil trappings on powders, contamination or cracking. It contains botanical extracts to boost the skin’s collagen formation while concealing the appearance of wrinkles and pores. The ultra-fine, multi-functional formula virtually fuses with your skin for a smoother, younger and radiant luminosity.

Comes to the packaging, it first reminds me of the NYX Grinding Powder if I am not mistaken. Never tried that one but have heard of it. Covo Cosmetics had a standard black packaging. Looking sleek and minimalist. Pretty nice. This powder is packed inside a box with its description. As you open it. You may find a small brush. This brush is made out of natural hair britsels. To my opinion, the brush is pretty handy and high quality. If does help to apply the powder nicely. It is not that soft but pretty good. So as you can see this powder has an unique packaging. you can see a grinder in the middle. Most loose powder type of products has this kinda mess around/ all over places kinda dispenser. So this one is a little different. If you want to get the product/powder out, you have to twist it. Since it as this grinding type of dispenser, this will help reduce messiness during application and storing. Good point for that!

My thoughts. I got in the shade Nude. They have 4 shades to choose from . In the website the shade selection shows Nude has a yellow tone, so I am happy as the powder I got here is really accurate to what I want. Since I have a yellow skin tone color, this really looks natural on me. Going back to the powder, for me this ha a medium-full coverage and gives you a matte finish. I have no problem with the scent, it does not have any funny scent to my opinion. Texture wise, its pretty heavy. So if you want to get a full coverage powder or a more heavy makeup type of look. Go for this. Although it has a SPF in it, I don't have problem in taking flash light picture. It does not really reflect the light of the camera cause white cast effect to your face. Overall, I pretty much like it for a night look or when I want to do some photo taking session makeup. It also works nicely without liquid foundation. A concealer and powder is just perfect.

Turn grinder clockwise stopping to release enough fresh powder for a full-face application. Turn again if you require more. Dip brush into powder and tap gently to remove excess. Sweep over face to desired coverage.

The POREfessional balm & powder

spy gal & agent zero shine

As-salamu alaykum and hello everyone ♡. Did you read my previous post on this newly launch product that is going to be in Malaysia this February? You can read it here, (link). As you all know I am a big fan for Benefit Cosmetics, I can really admit that I am sold by the cuteness and fun they product can be. I might categorize Benefit Cosmetics are a easy and user friendly to all aspect of people out there. From what I am not mistaken, in the movie Snow White and the Huntsman uses all Benefit Cosmetics as their official makeup product for all makeup looks in the movie. Pretty neat huh? Well, I am not trying to hard sell here but I am talking base on what I think I can share. Good thing is much better to be share with! I took pretty much months to try these products to make sure what I can say about it.

Before that, i am going to talk about the box that came with it. Both come and package in this cute little box that kinda look like a coffin. Haha. Because there is a girl lying inside the design of the box. Well, I guess this is the idea of their "secret" agent that combat pores as they claim. Alright, look closely they look pretty much like a toy doll box. Both box are really pretty and guess what? Yeap, I am not gonna throw this away. Hehe, they just too cute to be in the rubbish bin. So okay okay... They also come with a manual. Well, not only TV's have manual. Haha! This is awesome because it is so PROFESSIONAL! hehe. You can see the manual in each individual review below, each manual consist of steps-by-steps on how to use the product. As promise, here are my review for both of this hot stuff beauty lovers have been talking about. I will be reviewing both individually and as they claim, to get best of both product, these two have to be use together. Let see what I think about it.

Made in : USA

Ingredient Highlights : This primer does contains silica

The famous product from Benefit Cosmetics. As you see in this picture this is the new and improve packaging. From what I can recall, the old packaging doe not have the girl on the packaging. They have re-make this product by featuring this so called "agent" that kinda like a mascot to the product as a spy girl who zip-zap your pores. It claims to be a product where quickly minimize the appearance of your pores & fine lines as well as give you that smooth skin effect. It is a translucent and it is oil free. It also said it suits all skin type tone and helps to make your makeup stays. So if you are wondering what is this actually, this is actually a face primer. What is a face primer? Face primer usually comes after your skincare routine which is usually moisturizer. This is like the first step in makeup. It is not always compulsory to use primer but since makeup have been popular among us, this kinda product have been marketed. Usually face primers have the same objective that is making your makeup stay put and last longer. They usually gives you a better surface for makeup.

The Untold Story. Did you know this primer were crated by accident? The twin founder of Benefit Cosmetics, Jean & Jane were at the kitchen experimenting on a new primer that they want to create. Then Jean maybe were kinda thirsty and she wanted to make her creative juice and then grabbed a lemon. Jane suddenly were reminder by the lemon about a girl she meet the other day who were so pretty but have large pores. "Pore her!" She said the skin of the lemon that looks like pores remind her to the incident! There is when they had an idea on making the primer not only to make makeup last longer but to disappear the appearance of pores!

Okay, now my thoughts. As I mention quite sometimes in my previous post, I kinda have this Love-Hate feeling towards this product. I give this more time on experimenting. Changing some foundation and BB cream over it to make sure what is really going on with this primer. So I realize that I have a combination skin where usually the areas of my nose are drier than the rest of my face. My nose clog pores easily. I usually need to scrub of my nose to make it squeaky clean. I might say that I love love love this product to be used on the oilier part of my face which is on my fore head and the area on my cheeks but I hate to use this sometimes on my nose. Just a pea amount of size is enough, I don't use this generously all over my face. I focus on spreading this on my fore head and the area of my cheeks and then what's left I just spread it away on the other part of my face. This gives my skin velvety smooth skin instantly. Yes, instantly. If you put too much of it, its gets flaky. So beware of the amount you are spreading. This does makes my makeup last a little longer and make my face less oilier. Sometimes, when I apply to much and proceed to buffering my foundation, this can flake out during my foundation routine.

So you really need some skills and practice on applying the perfect amount of it. Lastly, if you are using this, one round of cleansing routine is not enough. I usually use baby wipes to wipe and "scrub" my face before my cleanser step. This clog pores, so remember to remove it before bedtime or you will realize that your next morning makeup routine will be weird and not perfect. This have a lemony scent to it which I like. Packaging wise, this is made out of a matte plastic tube. It is still clean for now, I hope it does not gets dirty by time and it is hygienic. Price wise its RM120 for 22ml in Malaysia and $30.00 in the USA of product for me is okay because it can last you pretty much long. Oh, they have a industrial size package which you can get to are more discounted price deal, I can't remember how much and how big, but I saw my friend bought it. Oh and can The POREfessional use for eye primer? Sadly no. It is not suitable for that purpose.

Name : the POREfessional : agent zero shine
Price : RM115 *available in Malaysia starting February 2014
Where To Buy : Benefit Cosmetics Counter and Sephora. For online purchase, you can buy it through Benefit Cosmetics Official Website that offer Worldwide Shipping (link)

Net Weight : 7g / 0.24 oz

Now, presenting to you the new sister product! Agent Zero Shine *Mission impossible music play* . So Spy Gal and Agent Zero Shine are sisters with a same mission that is minimizing people pores! Yeay! Haha! I bet you guys are pretty much excited about this since it is design not like an ordinary powder packaging. Some of you even ask me when I posted in my Instagram what is this thing? Calm down , this is not a laser tube or a mini pop parachute, this is a face powder with a travel size kabuki. This launch at the end of last year and if you watch Mizzglamorazzi and ThatHearts have been loving this.

Benefit Cosmetics claims this product to be a powder that instantly minimizes shine and helps smooth the look of pores. This is uniquely design to ease your application by adding a small kabuki brush in the bottle. It also said to maximize the benefits of it, use over the professional balm and the hello flawless foundation before applying this.

Now drum-roll. My thoughts. At first I was kinda like, nah.. this will work the same as any powder product I use. I will use later. During that time, I have not yet open the product. It is still inside the box. Then one day I need to go back to my hometown. So I decided to bring this along since I am traveling. First impression, why the hell I did not try this earlier?! I love this stuff! Usually, loose powder type of product cakes me and really hard to handle. i will ending up mess around my clothes and table. What I do is, I tap out a bit of product inside the cap, take off the kabuki, and swirl in the cap, then just puff around my face. This works wonders with my new love, L'Oreal BB Cream that have been in my 2013 favorites which you can rad it here, (link). It last long and makes my face stay matte for good hours. This does not feel heavy, and cakey at all. The powder is super fine and "melts" into your skin naturally. Leave my skin matte not flat! The down side of this is the price compare to the amount you will be getting. The powder that you will be getting is only 7g which most powders are more than that. Another thing that it is a loose powder which can finish up fast. This does not have any scent which free fragrance beauty lovers will love this. Packaging wise, super travel friendly, since it comes with a soft (not tacky) brush that can be use for touch ups on the go. For price wise as mention it will be a lil splurge to the amount you will be getting.

Overall of these two sister. Yep, they are awesome to go along together. While the Pore-fessional balm gives me a nice velvety matte canvas for my foundation and BB creams, this set everything together. As you can see to the texture and color of the balm it does have a lil color in it that does not really shows when you apply it. It really feels like a balm and instantly "change" to a powder feel after blending in. For the powder, it does look a little fair to a darker skin tone color. Currently this is the only one shade available. I am not sure if this suits darker skin tone, but it really suits my medium-fair yellow skin tone. The color does not really shows, it is light and blends in to my natural skin tone color. Don't know if this does the same to darker skin tone color. See below image comparable to with and without both product. On the left side of my hand I have applied the balm first and sweep over the powder while the right one is just a bare hand. Look closely if you can tell, the fine lines of my hand are reduce and look matte. So would you make Spy Gal & Agent Zero Shine your best friend?
