Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette Review

One of the reason I got this palette is of course by the influence of these YouTubers I watched. Also the campaign that they did for this palette where each eyeshadow represent someone and most of them are YouTubers. The shades are said to inspire, celebrate and empower real women. Got to blame YouTube for everything. Haha. Not to mention the packaging are just a beautiful. This palette consist of 12 matte shades. Yep, all of the shades are matte and these eyeshadow are made out of Amazonian Clay, Vitamin E & Mineral Pigments. You know how Tarte rolls right. Their ingredients that they include in their products are always the bomb dot com.
I could say when I have this palette for a while I realize that having all matte shadows are pretty boring. I love this palette but I say it needs to be paired with other eyeshadow. I still reach for other palettes when I use this palette just to get some more shimmery/pearlize eyeshadow as I realize these type of shadow give more dimension to my eyes. I would say since this is a matte eyeshadow it is a great palette for all sorts of brow highlight, transition color, base and crease color. All of the eyeshadow are super pigmented even without primer and most of them are cool tones. I think it will look more nicer with primer, but I haven't tried that as I don;t have a good eyeshadow primer at the moment. I looovveeee the packaging and I love the size of it. Travel friendly and just nice on the hand. It has a generous size of mirror too. When I have this palette I felt that I have a perfect amount of matte shades now. It is a great palette to have along with your other eyeshadow palette when you travel or going somewhere.
Here are the swatches for the Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette. All shades are swatches from the top row, from left to right.
Free Spirit (cream), Force Of Nature (nude), Dreamer (warm brown), Multi-Tasker (chocolate)
Caregiver (pale pink), Natural Beauty (mauve), Best Friend (mulberry), Bombshell (dark plum)
Super Mom (ivory), Wanderer (light brown), Power Player (taupe), Fashionista (black).

What do you think of this palette? Do you own it and so you love it? This is a permanent line product and it retails for RM165.00 each. You can purchase this at Sephora.

  3. Same goes to me! ^_^ This palette is sure pretty but I don't think I can work with just this palette alone. We still need those shimmers tho. High 5! Hehehehe~ #TeamShimmer Personally for me, if I were to get a high end palette, I think I'll find those with both matte & shimmers :)

    1. true! after getting this palette I was not so excited when a company comes out with a all matte eyeshadow. I think this is enough already. A lot of people afraid to use shimmer eyeshadow as they think it is too much and opt for all matte. but actually some shimmers looks so natural and help enhance the eyes better kan! #TeamShimmer
