Maybelline The Nudes Palette Review

More and more brands are getting into these neutral eyeshadow palettes as they get more attention from most makeup lovers. Most drugstore brand usually have small quads and small eyeshadow options from what I can see but now they have dive in into a more variety and trend we have been into these days which is eyeshadow palettes. I got the chance to get this palette from the PR and I am so happy to try it. I love the color shown in this palette and I could say they look really versatile. Some say that this is a dupe for the Naked 2 palette.

This came in a plastic case, no mirror inside. Have 12 gorgeous neutral colors from matte to shimmer. My impression is that the color pay off was just okay. The mattes are not buttery or smooth, might wanna get a few swatch to make it appear more nicer, but to think of, these mattes are still build-able, so it is a great sheer color to be use for highlighting and as a transaction color. The shimmer has great color payoff and pretty smooth. This palette is a great palette for beginners, might wanna get this palette during sale cause it is more worth it. If you see at the back of the palette, each shades are coordinate to 3 quads, 4 trios and 6 double eyeshadow. So it is a great guidance or maybe an idea of what look you can go for the day without having you stare at the palette for 5 minutes thinking what shade to use.
Overall, I love to use the shimmers color as a base and the soft matte colors as a transition color. A pretty good palette for beginners, might wanna reconsider this if you have too many neutral palettes. These shadows does not budge or smudge for a pretty long hours, better to be use with eyeshadow primers to make it last all day.

You can get this at any participating pharmacies such as Guardian, Watsons. They retails for RM69.90. But they are always on sale, so you can get this as low as RM49.90 if I am not mistaken. Some of my followers said some places they did not restock this anymore, I'm not sure about this too. At my place in Johor I can still see them.

  1. Thank you for the review :)

I'm sorry but I can't help not to point out the wrong usage of word in your post. It's "transition" not "transaction".
